We've (my girlfriend and I) have given Chili's chance after chance. The last time we went to the Midvale location, it was terrible.
Our waiter didn't seem to know what he was doing and was acting like a kid. He started pounding on the table behind us quite loud, playing with a kid.
When the food came out, my gf's was OK, but mine was crap. I ordered the Country Fried Chicken off the cheap (3 for $20?) menu. My chicken was very dark under the breading and the patties were curled up around each other. They're supposed to be flat! I dared to try a bite and it didn't surprise me much. It was way overcooked. The meat was dry, dark, hardly chewable and quite disgusting. The corn was frozen in some places. The potatoes were watery for the most part, kind of like they weren't mixed well.
The best part is, the waiter (Troy) didn't even bother to ask me how my food was. I thought he would maybe ask me about it when we were getting ready to leave and I hadn't taken more than a couple bites of a huge plate of food. Instead he just asked if we needed boxes, I said no. He didn't even ask then how our food was, IT WAS OBVIOUS! Don't go to the Midvale Chili's during lunch at least.
We at least called Chili's area director and let someone there know what happened. I couldn't talk to the manager because I got an important, lengthy, phone call on the way out or I would have. The area director was very nice. She offered to send out coupons to make up for the bad experience. We went to the Sandy, UT location. Check my review there to see what happened.
Pros: Food used to be good.
Cons: Food is bland and not cooked right
