Birthday Party 11/19/2009

I was thoroughly was offended at my child's birthday party. I felt so rushed to push everybody out of the party room when the museum was still open for another hour. Some community leaders visited the party and I couldn't usher them out like that. I was embarassed and disappointed. I have been there twice before and did not receive such treatment. We were not holding any other party up because the museum was closing within the hour. more

Children Museum of Cleveland 4/14/2006

What a great place to spend an afternoon (or morning). With plenty of space and exposés for children of all ages, the museum is a hit wit my daughter. We are planning of having her birthday party there next year. The café is a great pace for moms and the little ones to enjoy a meal, and the food is great. more

Great place for a rainy day 8/22/2005

The Children's Museum is a wonderful place to take the young ones on a rainy day. Located close to the CWRU campus and a number of other museums, it could easily fit in as a break when touring these other less-kid friendly venues or as a destination on its own. Several of the exhibits rotate so there's often something new. And, for locals, you can sign up for their e-mail newsletter announcing events throughout the year. more

A place where we all can imagine 8/21/2005

If you have young ones (say under 8) make sure you stop and visit here. It is best to buy the yearly pass as you'll want to come back again and again. Children have a fun time role playing and playing with other children. They have permanent exhibits as well, such as Splish Splash. Children love this area as they can play for hours with the funnels and buckets and more. They can also be a weather forecaster, banker and a grocer. We have great museums in Cleveland and this is certainly one of the many. more

Nice outing... 8/21/2005

I recently took my nephews, age 4 and 6, to the Children’s Museum and they had a ball! The museum was very interactive, which they both loved. They especially loved the “water room.” It was a very nice outing for them on a rainy day. The one thing I will mention is that we went on a weekend and it was very crowded and sometimes hard to keep an eye on both children at once. However, both of the boys had a great time and I would recommend it to anyone with younger children. more

Great place for kids especially during winter. 8/21/2005

The winters in cleveland are so long, that we have loved going to the Childrens museum. It gives me a place to get out of the house and allows the children to interact wtih other children, learn, have fun, and use up that extra energy. Make sure you buy a season pass...individual visits are quite pricey more

fun for the kids 8/6/2005

This is a great place to take infants through about age 7. Open six day's with decent hours. If you're a member admission is free, otherwise it is still a very reasonable price. This useum focuses on the development during early childhood (all aspects). Imaginary role play is always fun no matter what your age is. They offer a variety of camps, programs and activities all year. Don't forget to visit the gift shop for a souvineer of your visit. more

Kids love it 7/8/2005

This museum will keep your child entertained for hours upon hours. One of the permanent exhibits is Splish Splash!, an area where kids can play in water with colorful plastic buckets, shovels, wheels that turn, and funnels. Kids can spend HOURS in this section alone, splashing and playing. There's a forecast center, where kids sit behind a mock weather forecast desk, complete with maps and papers to hold, and give the weather forecast for the day. It teaches about seasons and how meteorologists predict the weather. There's also a mock bank and grocery store to learn about food, money, and shopping. A new barn was installed, too, with a silo and apple orchard. Everything here is fun and educational, and something you can go to each weekend and have your kid love. more
