We visited the Chicago Firehouse Restaurant recently as a new and different place to try with a couple of friends.
We had a reservation and were seated immediately when we arrived. The restaurant was busy, but not too crowded (it was a weekday evening, though).
Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu, and made a great selection on the wines to accompany our dinner. The food was just okay. I've had better steaks elsewhere. The atmosphere was very nice, though. Comfortable banquette tables, adequate lighting (maybe a little too bright, though).
It was worth a try, but I'm not sure we'd go back.
