if you want some good food quickly and with no hassle, you need to try cheung hing. i don't recommend eating there (as it's a tiny hole in the wall like most brilliant restaurants...

BEST ROAST DUCK! 12/29/2005

My favorite dish at this restaurant is the Roast Duck. I refused to eat any except from this restaurant. It is roasted evenly and VERY TASTY. Its other "siu mei" is also very good. The chicken feet and chicken and everything is good. I would only go to this place for take out. It is VERY small and you won't feel comfortable sitting because a lot of people go there to buy takeouts so it becomes very crowded. Also, you wouldn't feel comfortable in the small table and the service isn't that good since most of them is busy with the takeouts. more

Good Restaurant 9/14/2005

I know someone who actually works at that restaurant, and I would like to tell you that it is a very best take out Chinese restaurant in town. They have the greatest food. Everyday there is a long line from dawn to dusk and reminds you of what we know as Chinatown. They have all of the Chinese ethnicity foods from egg rolls to orange chicken. I would advise you to go there, because if you want to try real Chinese food, then you should go there. The food there are also delicious and very affordable. more

Best 5 Spice Chicken in Town 9/6/2005

This a Sunset favorite chop shop. Excellent 5 spice chicken. Very lean and low fat. You know it's good when all you see is local Chinese lining up outside during lunch and dinner times to pick up their favorite BBQ pork, soy sauce chicken, or one of the other more exotic dishes. more

Good for takeout 8/16/2005

I'm a fan of Cheung Hing for their takeout, not so much for their rice plates. They have some excellent roast pork, barbecue pork, roast duck, and roast chicken. There is usually always a line going out the door because they are so popular. There is metered parking, but generally, it's a little hard to park on Noriega St. more

Cheung Hing Chinese Restaurant 8/14/2005

Service was rude and perfunctory. Waiters were not only unhelpful, my requests appeared to annoyed them. The spareribs were not only dry and tasteless, when the waiters could not separate them with tongs, they simply served them and walked away. I had to request a knife to sever them. I ordered a dish without red or green peppers, the dish?beef with leeks and hot peppers? was delivered with an abundance of red and green peppers. The waiter set down my companion's meal and didn't return with my dish for some time. The quality of both the food and service has been in gradual decline. I won't be returning in the near future. more

Good cheap food 8/11/2005

This place is where you want to go for some fast chinese food. They offer noodles, rice plates, and entrees, along with the usual fare of soy sauce chicken, duck or roast pork. Great place to order some take out when you're too lazy to make dinner at home. The prices are pretty cheap and the service is lightning fast. Parking is pretty easy too and the bus line runs right on Noriega. more
