Best coffee shop in Seattle 11/22/2009

My absolute favorite coffee shop in Seattle. Great coffee, wonderful service, free wi-fi and plenty of comfortable seating for meetings or just hanging out. I often spend half my day here. Food is great too! more

Good coffee, cute shop. 5/19/2006

In my anti-Starbucks crusade, I'm trying to pop into small, independent coffee joints as often as possible. As a result, I'm pretty jittery and my teeth are turning yellow. Ooops. I went to Cherry Street Coffee House in Pioneer Square on my way to work today. I had plain coffee; no complaints. I'm kind of a snob too, so not having complaints is good. Well, I guess I have one complaint. I asked for an inch of room, mainly because I'm a giant klutz and I like to add a little milk, but I was wearing white, and didn't need coffee slosh action. Anyway, the gal didn't leave enough room so I had to hold my coffee at arms length for the whole walk to work. I guess it was good exercise for my arm or something.... I had a bagel; it was good. I didn't really get to look around (I was kind of in a hurry) but the place looked pretty nice. more

My favorite coffee shop 4/25/2006

This was my regular stop when I worked downtown. I loved walking over for a cup of coffee. It has a great energy, delicious coffee, and has good seating if you'd like to sit for a while and sip your drink instead of heading right back out into the fray. It's definately worth a try if you haven't stopped in yet. more

Friendly people, really good coffee 12/15/2005

We go to the Cherry Street Coffee on 3rd Ave near Madison Street, next to the Fedex Kinkos in the Central Building, and have breakfast almost every morning. Their baristas know what they're doing and make wonderful - and beautiful - coffee creations. They also have a good selection of bagels and pastries to complete your breakfast. This is a great place to stop in on your way to work if you're having a bad morning. The staff is extremely friendly and will whip you up something tasty. more

One of the top coffee cafes in Seattle 11/17/2005

Amazing espresso roast. Great sandwiches (moz on olive baquette), soups and bagels. the original of the Cherry St. cafes which is now in 4 locations. Ali (owner) is a very friendly guy and knows good coffee and food. coffee is much better than starbucks so go out and support your local small bus owner, who has a better product at a better price. This place is solid. more

Cherry St Coffee Pioneer Square 8/28/2005

Great atmosphere, solid coffee. This place feels like a Seattle coffee house should - quirky, unpretentious, anti-capitalist (fair trade coffee), and vaguely anarchic. There is a comfortable underground lounge area, various pastries, doughnuts and other treats at the bar, and a couple of tables out on the street. It's the real thing. more

Walking their talk 10/4/2004

This place has good coffee and rolls and teas. So many places do. But they also have a commitment to their community- they support the Real Change vendors who sell their papers in front of the shop and they recently stepped up to sponsor the first annual Real Change breakfast in November. Stop by and grab a cup of joe and compliment them on their tangible commitment to the community around them! more
