Regular bowling alley plopped in the city 5/17/2006

Chelsea PIers Bowl looks like almost any suburban bowling alley, except that it's in the city and it's situated right in the middle of the Chelsea Piers complex. It's a very family-friendly place, as it's very clean and well-lit almost to the point of being sterile. They are quite pricey as well, coming up even with Bowlmor, and the shoe rentals and cost of food exacerbate that. I feel that with Bowlmor at least, you get what you pay for - the ambiance and music which accompany your games. more

Bowling in the city 12/26/2005

Chelsea piers offers bowling too. The benefit of this is there is a brewery on site as well as the whole chelsea piers complex. So you can go on a booze cruise; go rock climbing go to the golf range and then go to yet another expensive venue in manhatten for bowling. However, it tends to not be as crowded as bowlmore in the city and I have never had a long wait to bowl as I have in both bowlmore and the port authority. more

A Great Place To Bowl and Party 8/17/2005

Chelsea Piers Bowl is the best place to have your party. I'll tell you its a blast. You will have a great time. The staff is very nice there. The price is a pretty penny but its worth it. Pizza and fun thats what it is. Just its in a bad location so you should be warned. more

good for a party, but pricey 8/14/2005

They have about 40 or so lanes here at the place. It's pretty big, so you won't have any trouble getting a lane. They also have a full bar though not really close to the lanes. I think on saturday night they have the lights out or neon bowling, where the lights get turned off and you bowl with glow in the dark pins and blue UV lighting. Cool at first, but hard to concentrate on the pins after a while. The selection of balls are not bad, but I'd definitely recommend bringing your own ball. The lanes are not as slick as the other lanes around in the city. There's a good cafe there where you can get not-so-bad pizza for your party. I think they also do parties too, so you can have your birthday party here. Service by the staff is just average, and the prices at the pro bowling shop on site are very expensive, so I'd definitely get your things elsewhere first before thinking about getting it there. I'd definitely give them a go. You'll have a good time with your buddies there. more
