The Cheesecake Factory is a good option for a kid friendly chain. They have a nice kids menu, plenty of space and high chairs, short...

Prepare for a long wait 4/17/2006

If you are in the city and have a craving for delicious food and cheesecake go to Cheesecake Factory but i must warn you without reservations you have to wait usually for 30 min. The menu is huge it is like a book, so first timers will have difficulty in deciding what to order. I like their burgers for lunch. They are huge and tasty. The cheesecake is delicious so don't forget to leave some place for it. more

Nice selection of food, and a nice setting 4/14/2006

With views over union square, they have a terrific setting. The waiting, and the high prices wasn't my cup of tea. They do however have a decent selection of dishes, and comes in nice condition. Service is a bit spare at times due to how busy they are. If your in the area and have some time to kill, this might be a place for you to have an evening for dinner, however if your just in it for a quick bite, try elsewhere. And parking is near non-existent. more

Cheesecake Factory 4/12/2006

Some consider it overpriced, but I do not. The Cheesecake Factory near the top floor of the Macy's building in San Francisco is a pleasant place to dine. I really enjoyed the raspberry lemonade with my enormous Thai salad. The total come to around $40 after tip for me and my date. The price was just right for the food and service. more

Cheesecake Factory 3/17/2006

The Cheesecake Factory is not San Francisco in the least! There are so many better restaurants that can't be found all over the country...I don't know why this place is so popular. The wait is long, the menu is gigantic, which is why I think this place fails..items are so so but not great, though portions are huge. I had a chicken caeser salad and there was nothing in it that made me think yum. It was just typical- something I could probably make myself. My favorite thing here is obviously the cheesecake. Just plain old unflavored cheesecake. They do it well. more

Wonderful Food at a great price. 1/18/2006

This is a bit more upscale and the prices are a bit higher then most restaurant around here, but the food is to die for! There is usually a long wait (30-1hr) but it's well worth it. I adore the strawberry lemonade and the have a constant change of special. They give you a big amount of portions for the price you pay and this is one of the better restaurant you will find around here. The dessert, as the name state has lots of varieties of cheesecake, a la mode, or other dessert varities also, but I doubt you'll have room after the drinks and dinner! more

Wonderful Atmosphere! 9/2/2005

You can definitely have fun at this location because you're in San Francisco on the very top floor in Union Square. It's quite a breathtaking view. The wait for this restaurant for dinner is usually around 1 hr so I would highly recommend advance reservations. The food here is good and this is a good place to go out with friends. I recommend for dinner: The Bang Bang Chicken & Shrimp. If you're not that hungry, you can save some money and share this dish because it's a big portion. As for cheesecake, they're all pretty good. I like the strawberry topped one. more

AMAZING 6/17/2005

The Cheesecake Factory in San Francisco is AMAZING! It has all types of food, and ALL of it is delicious! Be sure to actually try the cheesecake, that is, if you have enough room for dessert! Also, the view is breath-taking. However, you have to wait around 45 minutes in order to just get seated in the restaurant. What can I say, it's a very popular place! more

Menu for The Cheesecake Factory

Editorial
  • In Short
Faux-rustic finishes and colorful light fixtures abound at this almost always crowded chain. The thick-as-a-book menu features Americanized versions of worldly cuisines--Mexican, Vietnamese, Italian, Thai--but succeeds best with American classics. Burgers are a good choice, especially the ""Roadside Sliders,"" mini burgers served as appetizers. The myriad cheesecakes are over-the-top in concept and decadence. You'll leave full, with leftovers.
