STAY AWAY FROM HERE 9/16/2010

I went there on a Friday night with some girlfriends . Well I don't know where to start about how bad the experience was. The place was dirty, the food was cold and way to salty. Fried chicken was greasy - the list goes on but that wasn't even the worst of it. The owner Al was in there drunk and very loud . Very unprofessional with his staff - especially the female ones. I would not wish this place on my worst enemy. not worth your time or money. more

OMG.. this food is AMAZING!! 3/20/2010

Me and my partner ate here on a whim a saturday night we were actually trying to go to a place in cabbage town.. We decided to go give this place a try it was a new resturant in EAV, so we wanted to support those businesses.. \r \r We had the Bar-b-que Ribs and Southern Fried chicken w/ mac/cheese, collards and fried okra... for desert we had the peach cobbler (WAS AMAZING!!) They have a full bar also, but we are not drinkers but had tea and a coke... \r \r The food and the service was great, we also got to meet the owner Chaz , he walked around meeting everyone , he was so cool, I asked him ""what do you recomend"" he said very confidently ""EVERYTHING .. and if you have a problem come see him"" .. .. I had no problems the food was amazing.. and the PRICE WAS EVEN MORE IMPRESSIVE.. all that cost only $33 .. \r \r The portions of the food was just right, it was not too much , I feel Americans totally over eat. \r \r The food was so good I went back again by myself, then ordered food for my partner to go.. I tried their new dessert they just added to the menu.. Banana Pudding... IT WAS AWESOME!!.. The place is not super busy right now.. but as the word get out I sure it going to be.. I just hope they don't raise their prices.. \r Pros: THE FOOD, THE SERVICE... Cons: need more variety of music playing more

OMG My favorite new neighborhood spot!! 1/22/2010

I stopped in Chazz for a bite and was blown away. All the vegetables are vegetarian and full of flavor. Melt in your mouth Cornbread & macaroni and cheese and delicious fish. Oh and the dessert is exceptional..The prices are so reasonable, you will order a plate to go. Now they have a full bar and drink specials all week long.. Stop by for Windo down wednesdays.. or Fridays for live music...East Atlanta Village truly has a new treat..Welcome to the neighborhood Chazz....Hopefully everyone gets on the bandwagon soon, I just can't stop taking my friends there... Pros: Great Food, Inexpensive, Drink Specials!!!!! more

Good basic breakfast 1/19/2010

Great little place for breakfast in the village. Great coffee and pancakes! Pros: pancakes more

Was Not Impressed 1/12/2010

Food should not be the focus of this establishment. Maybe they should stick to poker, drinks and socializing. I ordered shrimp and grits and collards. I recvd Quick grits and some microwaved salad shrimp and paprika sprinkled on top for garnish. The greens were in a drk brown juice and tasted salty and burnt. My guest ordered chicken that was dry and yams and black eyed peas that were dark some strange reason.... Pros: Clean, inviting, inexpensive Cons: Loud music and bad food more

Delicious VEGETARIAN vegetable plate! 10/17/2009

We went to EAV to have dinner, and when the restaurant we usually go to was closed for a private party, we thought we'd give Chazz a chance. We are so excited that we did-- our three vegetable plates were really good, with vegetarian collards, green beans, mac & cheese, yams, salad, mashed potatoes, fried okra and cornbread. My husband fell in love with the buttermilk fried chicken. Our server was very attentive, and Al, the owner, came to the table and chatted with us. We had a wonderful evening, and four of us ate for $35!! We are actually going back in the morning for brunch. And even better, they'll be getting their liquor license next weekend! We've found our new neighborhood spot! Pros: inexpensive, great food, great service more
