We went to EAV to have dinner, and when the restaurant we usually go to was closed for a private party, we thought we'd give Chazz a chance. We are so excited that we did-- our three vegetable plates were really good, with vegetarian collards, green beans, mac & cheese, yams, salad, mashed potatoes, fried okra and cornbread. My husband fell in love with the buttermilk fried chicken. Our server was very attentive, and Al, the owner, came to the table and chatted with us. We had a wonderful evening, and four of us ate for $35!!
We are actually going back in the morning for brunch. And even better, they'll be getting their liquor license next weekend! We've found our new neighborhood spot!
Pros: inexpensive, great food, great service
