We went here for our wedding anniversary and really enjoyed ourselves. My husband loves wine but really learned about it through the tour and wine tastings. We went during the week, so the guides were able to give more personal tours. Its has beautiful grounds w. fountains, peacocks, and views. The tour of the plant is free and the tasting tours are about $15. The wine bottle prices vary between $15-$1000. But that $15 bottles are a good buy and worth it! Sure, the grounds are beautiful, sure the buildings are nice and there's a nice shop, but the tours are definitely missable. That is, unless you enjoy being called "hon" every thirty seconds by a cloyingly "sweet" tour guide who doesn't seem to know anything about the wine or the grapes beyond what's already posted on the walls or is just common knowledge about wine. It is fun to tour the wine making process, but don't expect the experience you get when you travel to eastern washington or oregon wine countries. This is fun for out of town guests. more

I love this venue! This was my second concert here, I saw Lyle Lovett earlier in the summer. Both events were spectacular. I thought the management of the grounds, the crowd, and the rules were enforced from where I was. The only recommendation that I can make to future concert goers is to get to the venue early. If you get there aroun 3-4pm for a 7pm show, you can have a little picnic on the lawn (in a semi-formed line) and then when the gates open lay your blanket on the lawn with your lowback chairs to stake your claim on the lawn. (I prefer the lawn to the reserved seating chairs because you can stretch out a little more). Once you get your blanket out, you can get your hand stamped and head over to the Redhook Brewery across the street and grab dinner there or get it boxed up to go. Once you're back on the lawn the shows that I've been to have started on time at 7pm. At the Lyle Lovett concert the sun set just as hot air balloons floated above. At one point, the Washington Dinner Train chugged along behind the venue. I can't think of a better place to see a show. What a shame! An otherwise beautiful little outdoor concert area was ruined by lack of enforcement of venue rules and nightmare of poorly managed "first come first served" seating. Chain smoking all over, outside of designated areas - tall chairs used against winery "rules" - resulting in empty patches of lawn behind those folks, resulting in lack of useable seating area for the rest of us who followed the rules by bringing low chairs. We had to sit outside of view of the stage in constant billowing cigarette smoke. Nonstop wine sales throughout the show meant increasing drunken disorder throughout the night, so we left early. All this for $50 a person plus service fees. Never again! Pros: parking shuttle Cons: disorder, ticket price, poor management more

The Chateau is a must see for the beautiful grounds and building and for the fish ponds that hold 30 inch rainbow trout! The wine store is more fun than the tour. more
