My experiences with Charter seem almost like a comedy of errors, except that the errors have wasted nearly 24 hours of my time. After miscommunication amongst Charter employees about what plan and what rate I was to be provided, we finally agreed upon a quite reasonable rate of $26.99/month for six months for cable internet. It's a great rate, but there is a reason it is so low--the service is horrendous. After scheduling an all-morning appointment, waiting at home, and being stood up, I called and found out that cable internet wasn't even available for my area yet! That was the beginning of the problems. I spent 3 other pre-scheduled mornings at home waiting for the cable guy to no avail. And what did they do, but come on a morning when they hadn't notified ME of their intentions, then proceeded to cancel my service because I wasn't home. Three weeks and several handfuls of hair later, I do have service, but at a hefty toll on my time!
