MBA at Chapman University: Argyros School of Business and Economics 1/22/2010

I'm from Europe and I had my MBA degree from Chapman University - Argyros School of Business and Economics. The school and the curriculum is AACSB accredited (which is the most important accreditation for MBA) and quality of education quite high. I know this because my other European friends were studying at UCI, SDSU, UCSD and most the case studies and curriculum is very similar. If you don’t have a engineering or computer background I suggest you to take math and MS Excel courses before you start. P.S. I’m currently working as Product Manager at Bayer Germany. more

Chapman Unv. 12/16/2005

This campus is located in City of Orange. Chapman Unv. is extremely SMALL! If you like small private school, Chapman is a great choice for you. Chapman is located in Orange County but still not far away from L.A. I went to school tour twice... This school is small but it's very nice! The classes are held in smaller groups so the professor konws every students who attend the class. There is a lot of major for students to pick. I heard they got nice Business, Art, and Libral major. check it school campus out! You will fall in love with it if you like small campus. more

The BEST University 9/5/2005

My daughter attends this most amazing university. She is a liberal studies major, studying to be an elementary school teacher. She is a senior. This school has a small town look, in the heart of old orange. Teachers get to know their students by name, they remember from two years ago. Her advisor knows her personally. If you have a son or daughter ready to attend college in the near future.....seriously check this one out. more

for all your libertarian needs... 8/23/2005

Chapman really has the cute campus thing going for it, when it's not under construction. It's genuinely pretty, and the small size means it is manageable. There is really the opportunity to interact heavily with faculty. The film school is expanding like crazy, so go there now so that your degree will look better once the huge studios are built. more

Small University with some standout departments 8/18/2005

This is a university that focuses on personalized education, which means the class sizes are generally small, and there's rampant grade inflation. While this is not the most difficuult university to get into, you can find a great eduucatioon at an even greater price, if you're motivated and have the right major. Their business school is by far their shining star. They also have an up-and-coming dance department and film scchoool (with plans for professionnal quality sound stages and a backlot -- we'll see if it pans out). The other departments producce mostly mediocre liberal arts students, but the faculty oon the whole, is quite good and committed too educcation. The problem is that the Chapman experience is what yoou make of it. You can skate by without too much effort, or you can be diligent and mmeet with professors after class, and do all the work, and you'll wind up with a good education. more

Skip the Film School 8/4/2005

I had the pleasure to graduate with my master's of film/TV from Chapman University a few years ago. My experience there was one with many uphill battles, which I don't think should occur when going to school. The capper was finishing up school and finding out that there is absolutely no job placement for film students...that was a bummer. Now three years later, I can't even get a job in the industry that I have a master's degree in. So in closing, I have to decline on writing a positive review on Chapman...I would have been much better off just skipping grad school and working my way up from the bottom in the industry. more
