Chameleon Club

here is an email i wrote too them: Hello, I attended your facility last night to see the band Cold. My three friends and I drove two hours from Philadelphia to your club. We were super excited, and could not wait to get there. But after we got in, we were told to go all the way upstairs. Where there were a ton of people, and the only way we could see the band was if we were on our tippy toes, and we would only be looking at the top of the band's heads. Which is fine for some people I guess. But what really bothered my friends and I was the fact that we were not allowed on the floor, to be on the same level as the band. We were extremley upset and angry because Cold is one of our favorite bands, this is their reunion tour, we drove 2 hours to get there, only to see part of them, in the mirrors. I dont think it is necessary to keep the 21 year olds (and over) away from the under 21 year olds. It was ridiculus. Plus if you were worried about keepnig the bar away from the underage people, then why is there a bar on the level we were on too? People were drinking there also. It is a stupid rule, to make the underage people go upstairs, where they could not fully enjoy the show that we paid for and drove 2 hours for. It would have been fine if we had the option of going up stairs, or staying downstairs, but instead, we were confined to the upstairs only. Once I approched the security guard to ask him about it, he pretty much yelled at me saying "get out of my face". Which was very rude, because part of my ticket money probably goes into his paycheck. Also my friend said that the mens bathroom was completley trashed. It would be nice if someone could clean up sometime. Then after the show we stood in line to meet the band, and I again, asked a different security guard why people were standing in one area, that wasnt part of the line, and again, I was yelled at by one of your employees, I was pretty much told to keep my mouth shut and stand there in line and " Pretend I am in an amusement park" I dont like being talked too like I am stupid, especially by a security guard, who is supposed to be there to protect us from other mischevious people. Again he was very rude, I just calmly asked him a question, and he jumped on me, asking me to calm down.... I was calm, he wasnt. I just want to tell you, that I am definetly not the only one who felt this way about this show, everyone who was upstairs was complaining about how we were forced to stay upstairs, and not allowed to be in front of the band. I will never come back to this place again, I dont care if Ozzy Ozbourne is playing there, I will never, and I will tell everyone I can never to attened this place. WE WENT TO THE CHAMELEON CLUB FOR THE FIRST TIME LAST WEEKEND. IF I EVER GO BACK AGAIN IT WILL BE TOO SOON. THE CLUB ITSELF WAS VERY NICE, SHAME THAT THE STAFF WERE ARROGANT AND IGNORANT. THE CLUB POSTED NO SIGNS WITH RULES FOR THE CONCERT, YOU JUST LEARNED ABOUT THE RULES AS THE NIGHT WENT. NO CAMERAS...BUT DID NOT CHECK FOR THEM OR POST SIGNS THAT YOU COULDN'T HAVE THEM. WHEN I TOOK A PICTURE, THEY MADE ME LEAVE THE SHOW AND TAKE MY CAMERA TO THE CAR. IF I HAD KNOWN WE COULDN'T HAVE THEM, IT COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED. AFTER RETURNING FROM TAKING MY CAMERA OUT, WE WATCHED CAMERAS FLASHING ALL EVENING FROM CELL PHONES TO VIDEO CAMERAS. AFTER TOWING TWO AND A HALF HOURS TO THIS CLUB WITH A BAND, WE WERE MADE TO WAIT OUT SIDE WITH OUR TICKETS FOR THREE HOURS TILL THEY DECIDED WE WERE ALLOWED IN THE BAR DOWNSTAIRS. THE RULES WERE NOT POSTED BUT CONTINUED TO BE MADE UP AS THE NIGHT WENT ALONG. THREE FLOORS YOU COULDNT TAKE YOUR DRINK WITH U WHEN U TRAVELED UP OR DOWN, YOU HAD TO HAVE CUPS NO SODAS IN BOTTLES SO THE FLOORS WERE STICKY. BOTHERED OTHER PERSONS IN THE BAR, NO HOODIES, SPECIAL SQUARES WHERE YOU COULD DRINK, NOT DRINK, SMOKE, NOT SMOKE, NO CELLS WITH CAMERAS THE LIST GOES ON AND ON. THE STAFF WAS RUDE AND ABRASIVE, WHICH MAY HAVE WENT UNNOTICED TO THE HUNDREDS FALLING DOWN DRUNK OR STONED BUT TO PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY CAME TO SEE THE BANDS AND WERE SOBER IT WAS A DIFFERENT STORY. WE WERE MADE TO FEEL LIKE IT WAS A WORLDY PRIVILEDGE TO BE ALLOWED IN "THEIR" CLUB......WE SHOULD BE SO GRATEFUL. I AM AN ADULT AND I ACT LIKE ONE, I DONT NEED A SUPERVISOR WHEN I AM OUT TO HEAR GOOD MUSIC. THE CONSTANT SUPERVISION MADE ME FEEL LIKE I WAS IN PRISON, THERE ARE LESS RULES IN PRISON THAN THERE WERE IN THIS NIGHTCLUB. IF YOU WANT AN EVENING OF RELAXATION AND FUN........I WOULD NOT RECCOMMEND THIS CLUB TO ANYONE. IT WAS A TOTAL HARRASSMENT FROM THE MOMENT WE GOT THERE. With the Lizzard Lounge on the lower level, the Chameleon has lots of atmosphere for a group happy hour. Upstairs is a 3 level bar great for catching some up & coming or some older well-known bands with out the huge crowds of a large stadium.
