Central Park Zoo 8/16/2005

This Zoo is located within the vicinities of Central Park. Zoos are fun, almost all of them. This one is no different. It is a great place to bring your family and kids. My favorite attract from the zoo is the Polar Bear. I never knew Polar Bears could swim so gracefully until I first saw one swim at the Central Park Zoo. They might be large animals but they are as graceful as any other sea creature when they are in the waters. It is not as good as the Bronx Zoo, but it's still a great treat for anyone who loves animals. more

Editorial

  • In Short
The Central Park Zoo and the Tisch Children's Zoo draw groups, families and kids. The most popular exhibits are the tumbling polar bears and the penguin house. Volunteers inform and educate classes and families on the subjects of conservation, the environment and wildlife. Those interested in volunteering at the zoo must complete a 10-week training program and make a one-year commitment of two days per month.
