Most attentive, thorough and intelligent foot doctor I have ever had. And I've had a lot over the past 10 years. 6/27/2007

Dr. Adizzone is truly the best foot doctor I have seen. I had given up on foot drs with my recent foot injury and a past injury I had 10 years ago. Have always had negative experiences w/doctors not giving the time deserved to assess and evaluate the injury, and not giving me a straight response as to the root of the problem. Most recently, I went to Dr. Donatto at Cal Pac medical Center in Pac Heights. He had me get an MRI and then diagnosed my problem with 'bone marrow edema' (while he gave me 7 minutes of his time with his hand on the doorknob the entire time). Suggested I try a bone stimulator, but couldn't guarantee that it would work. Actually said he didn't know if it would do anything, but that it might be at least one thing. Well, I wore it for 6 weeks, and my pain increased. \r \r I found out about Dr. Ardizzone through a friend and she immediately said that the MRI Donatto had taken was not good picture quality so she ordered that I get another one. We were reviewing it in her office just 1/2 hour later and she systematically went through the MRI and diagnosis with me. It all made sense-- the pain I've been having as it relates to the torn tendon she found. So, now I am in a removable cast for 6 weeks, still using the bone stim since I have it, but it's probably not doing anything. She put me in physical therapy for 2x/week for 6 weeks as well. Meanwhile, I have never received a followup call from Cal Pac Med center and they never even had me schedule a follow up appt. My opinion? Dr Donatto is an orthopedic surgeon and if there is no way to correct a problem by going under the knife, then he's not your man. Dr. Ardizzone, however, is a class act. I am hoping I don't have to go the route of surgery, but she is a surgeon as well and if it comes to that, I would trust her implicitly because of her attention to the details, her treatment, follow through and all around amazingly confident (not to be mistaken for overly confident) and reassuring demeanor. Pros: The best Doctor I've ever been to. Nice office space, nice staff, and she's just smart! Cons: no cons more
