The Cathedral School is an independent, Episcopal, K-8 day school for boys and girls of all faiths. The school is committed to a rigorous academic program that integrates the arts, athletics and leadership development. One of the main missions of the school is promoting diversity among different religions, race, ethnicity and socio-economic. The faculty and student body are very diverse. The classes are small (maximum of 16 children), and the faculty genuinely cares about the intellectual, ethical, social and emotional growth of each individual child. Another benefit of the school is that it is located on the grounds of the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine, leaving many opportunities to bring learning outdoors. Many specialty classes are offered such as art, music, science, violin, physical education, as well as French and Spanish, all starting in Kindergarten.
