I found Dr. Johns to be the highest charging vet in Indianapolis. She had knowledge but she ignores the wishes of the owner. The owner is the patient advocate for the cat but Dr. Johns believes she is God and she and she alone makes the decisions and this leads to huge costs for the owner. The irony is that if Dr. Johns were taken to court she would argue that the cat is property and that is the law. In her office, though, she is much different. more

The Only Vet For My Cats 8/14/2012

I liked the way the staff and the vet doted on my cats. They listened to me and asked a lot of questions and made me feel comfortable and informed about the procedures they were recommending and understood when certain items weren't in my budget. Dr. Johns was able to explain certain problems one of my cats was having that my previous vet couldn't. I'm comfortable that my babies are in good hands! more

Watch bill 6/20/2011

Very expensive, gave cat Vaccinations that he already had and DID NOT remove charge. You will get charged an exam fee even if you are just dropping off for a sedate to groom. Office staff was rude when had to cancel appointment because we forgot to pull food. I would think they would be happy we canceled for the safety of our cat. No she stated " I even called to remind you" very sarcastically. Will not go back more

My Cat's Vet 5/19/2011

The staff of the Cat Doctor are knowledgeable and helpful. Cats are very different than dogs, and Dr. Johns was particularly effective and kind in working with our cats. Taking our cats to a vet hospital that did not have dogs in it was also a plus. They were calmer and were not so traumatized by their visit. more

Bad and prone to overcharge 5/13/2010

Dr, John's and her staff have little interest in the cats that come in other than charge a lot for poor and inadequate treatment. Dr. John's acts as if she is god and even an old cat with mounting problems won't be allowed to be put to sleep and out of their misery. Dr. John's is a control freak that pays no attention to the quality of life of the cat but just keeping the cat alive so she can make money. Raise any questions and you are dropped and she even refuses to do consults. An d this is the type of Vet you want caring for what amounts to a member of your family? more

Vet - specializes in cats 9/8/2005

The Cat Doctor is a wonderful vet clinic that specializes in only cats. Dr John is the vet we always took our cats to and she is wonderful. She's a cat lover & owner herself which makes it even better. All the girls that work at the clinic are very friendly and helpful when I've been there. They know our cats are like our children and they take very good care of them. more

Excellent vet -- cat specialist 8/12/2005

The Cat Doctor is exactly that -- a vet practice that serves only cats. It is obvious that all the doctors truly care about cats, and it is nice not to have to worry about dogs scaring your feline while he/she is waiting to see the doctor. They also send a newsletter to patients, with helpful tips, updates, etc. more
