Great service 1/22/2013

After Hurricane Sandy, Carpets and Us help me restore every room on the basement and first floor of my house. I worked with the store owner Nancy. She gave me excellent recommendations on products and offered amazing prices (in part as a favor because of storm damage but also because Carpets and Us is much less expensive than the big stores). The quality of the products is excellent and far superior to Home Depot and Lowes. We put laminate wood floors and carpet down as well as ceramic tile. Carpets and Us did a great job. more

Local business is the way to go 12/27/2012

Carpets & Us is the place to go if you want excellent customer service and reasonable prices. It is refreshing to shop at a local business and get exactly what you are looking for from knowledgeable people. Nancy, the owner, was very helpful and a pleasure to do business with. Save yourself time, energy and money and shop locally. more

Excellent store 12/17/2012

I had a great experience with this store. Good selection of carpets and flooring and great customer service. Installers were professional and worked exclusively for the store (not subcontracted day-laborers). Much better prices than the big box stores. Highly recommend. more

Wonderful store! 3/3/2012

I've been going to Carpets & Us for over 15 years and they have carpeted every room of my house. Although I could return for the selection and prices alone, the real reason I go back is for the wonderful customer service and the beautiful installations. They are really a "no-gimmicks" store with no hidden costs and great handiwork. I am also a very savvy shopper, and they always have the best prices in town. I recommend all of my friends to Carpets & Us and they have never been disappointed. Overall, a lovely local business to support! P.S. They have more than just Carpet! Also have a great selection of laminite floors, hard wood, linoleum, and tile. more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! WONDERFUL SERVICE! 5/10/2009

A neighbor strongly recommended Carpets & Us after I had a terrible experience at Class Carpet (nearby store). The saleslady Nancy was so helpful and knowledgable and committed to finding the perfect carpet for my new home on a budget. The installers were professional and courteous and there were NO GIMMICKS. Unlike Home Depot and Loews, they are fully upfront in their pricing, knowledgable about their products, and the quality of service is EXCELLENT. I recommend all of my friends and neighbors and we have all had similar experiences. Definitely use this store!!! more

Poor Service 1/25/2008

We have purchased all of our carpets at this store and have always been very happy with their installation and service even if we had problems. However, since the change in ownership / management, we can no longer recommend this store. Their quality of work (installation) and service has gone down hill. They also will schedule appointments and either cancel at the last second or not show-up. If there are any problems with the installation, they simply do not return your calls. more

carpets and us 7/27/2005

carpets and us is located on gardiners avenue of hempstead turnpike and behind the king kullen shopping cente. They are open seven days a week and are open late on thursday evenings. They have installers that are experienced and efficient and they will stand behind all their workmanship. They also have shop at home services available and a newly expanded laminate and wood flooring department. This store offers a nice staff and personal service unlike those home superstores. more
