I purchased a good mohawk carpet ($32/sq yd) from CarpetExpress.com on 8/13/2018. The salesman was very helpful and the transaction was smooth. Thats were everything good stopped. * I received the carpet on 8/18/2018 and it was defective, it had stains throughout the rug and the pile was missing all over the rug among other things. I contacted carpet express and sent them pictures. * On 8/21/2018 I received an email stating the claim was approved and they would be ordering me a new carpet. * On 9/4/2018 I received an email stating the new carpet did not pass inspection at their warehouse. CarpetExpress said they will reorder a new carpet for me. * On 9/11/2018 I received an email from CarpetExpress stating that the new carpet did not pass inspection at their warehouse AGAIN. * On 9/25/2018 I received an email from CarpetExpress stating that the new carpet was short. At this point I cancelled my order and contacted texascarpets.net shared my horror story and sent him pictures. He said that he had NEVER seen this happen on first quality carpet and most likely I was receiving carpet from "SPECIAL GOODS DEPT" or "OFF Goods" ( products with some manufacturing defects). On 9/28 I order the same carpet through texascarpets.net for a similar price and on 10/2 I received my carpet and it was installed in my home with no issues. The moral of this story is to avoid carpetexpress.com unless you want inferior carpet and just buy your carpet from texascarpets.net where you'll get a great price, fast shipping and excellent customer service more

Good: The prices at Carpet Express were great. I saved $.25 per square foot compared to another internet retailer.. Bad: The design of their website is a little dated. It could be a little cleaner, crisper, and less crowded.. Other: Don't judge a book by its cover.... more

Carpet Express is a family owned store, not Shaw. There are some good deals on carpet, but they have some excellent deals on vinyl flooring (only $1.99 per square yard) and first quality hardwood (Bruce Dundee Plank only $2.49 per square foot). I couldn't find deals like that anywhere in Dalton. more

Carpet Express is not where you'll find the best floor covering deals in Dalton. The store is owned and run by the mega carpet company, Shaw, and prices there tend to be higher than at the major outlets by the interstate. The store carries hardwood, laminate, carpet, rugs and tile, and is clean, but selection is smaller than at other stores and unless you want to pay more, you're better off at one of the major outlets that is not owned by a manufacturer. more

Carpet Express is located in the heart of the Dalton, GA carpet industry. Outlet stores here have the advantage of buying remnants, seconds and discontinued carpets direct from the manufacturers. The prices are greatly reduced and you can save a lot of money shopping here. Carpet Express carries carpet, padding and hardwood flooring. They have two showrooms connected by a warehouse. A salesperson will greet you at the door and help you get started on your search for flooring. If you're not sure what you want, they will offer helpful suggestions and invite you to browse through the many samples that they have in the showrooms. If you have a good idea of what you want, they will take you out into the warehouse to see if they might have something in stock to suit your needs. Because they buy discontinued rolls, seconds and the like from the manufacturers, their stock is always changing. If you have the time and don't see exactly what you want when you're there, ask your sales person to call you when they see something along the lines of what you're looking for. They are eager to help. If you don't live in the area, they ship nationwide, so you don't have to worry about arranging transportation yourself. The showrooms are not fancy, but they are clean and easy to browse through. The warehouse is a working warehouse and if you have kids with you, be sure to keep an eye on them, as hysters are always on the move. more
