I think the reason is that they take walk ins so your appointment time means nothing. Office staff are rude and not at all helpful.

Great Doctors, PA, and nurses 3/23/2012

Great doctors and nurses. Great environment. Very helpful staff. I love this place. - Wait time is most likely 10 mins. Sometimes shorter sometime longer if you want to be seen by a particular doctor. If you will see any medical provider, they are all very knowledgeable and professional, then wait time is much shorter. more

Friendly, consistent and personable office visits due to the staff and Dr. Carpenter. Coupled with the above, appointment times are generally well met. Dr. Carpenter and his staff are quite approachable in discussing health matters and understandable with their responses. more

great Doc 4/22/2010

Dr Carpenter has been my Dr. for almost 20 years he always listens to what I have to say and has been there to see that if I need a specialist or a consult that is taken care of I have always been treated well. He has got me through a lot of problems sometimes the wait is long but worth it to me more

Staff complained when asked to help me 10/1/2009

The doctor left the door open to my room and asked the nurse (in the hallway) to give me a B12 shot, I heard her say "Great, a shot - are you kidding me, like I don't have enough to do." I guess I was an inconvenience. more

Worth the wait 8/1/2009

Dr. Carpenter and his staff have always given me and my family the best medical care I have every received from any doctors office. Yes, they are busy and you may have to wait, but at least they will still you you on a same-day basis! I don't want to wait three days for an appointment when I am sick today. We have referred many of our friends and family members to their office, and they have all had great experiences also. more

This Dr. office will and has givin information that you are a patient. And there office has provided information to office visit to patients employers without the patients permission. more

no Dr, Carpenter 7/8/2009

I have had Dr. Carpenter as my pcp for years and have only had to see him twice. Each time, lab work was involved and his cavilier attitude towards my results, along with his lack of empathey left me in tears. I now REFUSE to see him. On the flip side, I love his PA's Marcus and Chad and I have had good experiences with them in the past. Sometimes the wait is long but I love their late and Sat hours. more

I could have died, seriously. 6/1/2009

After i went in for high blood pressure a PA there, not a doctor, put me on a medication that made me have tachycardia very badly. When i called them regarding this no one would call me back so i decided to just make an appointment and go in. I was told that they were booked and not taking walkins. I explained i was having extreme tachycardia(180 bpm sitting) but still could not get in for 2 more days. DONT trust your life to a PA! Period. Find a real doctor that doesn't let PA's run his practice. more

Long wait - poor customer service 1/23/2009

My wife and I have gone to Dr Carpenter's office for over 15 years, however I have never been happy about the wait time incurred when going for an appointment. Today (1-23-2009) was the final straw and we are now looking for a new doctor. My wife and I recently changed medical plans (same medical provider) and simply called Dr.Carpenters office to request that they confirm a prescription for the new plan that was already in place prior to the change. My wife was placed on hold three times with two of those calls going to a voice mail and the third being hung up on. Unfortunately **NO ONE** in their office wants to do much of anything and getting assistance over the phone is a major ordeal. Too bad as we really like the doctors, however the support staff desperately needs to know "WHAT" pays for their salary. We are now searching for a doctors office that actually cares about the patient. Does anyone have any suggestions?? more

Long waiting time. 12/9/2008

Be prepared to wait up to three hours so bring a book. They appear to book several people for the same appointment time. Saturday mornings may be OK but they don't do blood work on Saturday Mornings. more

My family has been seeing Dr. Carpenter for 26 years. We have been in alot of Dr. offices, to us there is nothing like Dr. C/PA if there is a problem he or the PA fixes it and he-PA is always in the room until you are finished speaking with either. He/PA acts like there in a hurry but if you have questions they slow down to answer them. Dr. C/PA is a happy, smiling, up front with you and a good people. We love the staff he has, We have not seen a rude person in the office sense we have been going to him/PA. more

Comfortable 6/16/2008

I have to say I have seen Dr. Carpenter’s office very busy, but most doctors’ offices I’ve been to are kind of crazy sometimes. I will admit that I now know that when I have an appointment I need to be prepared to wait, but I also feel like I get my very focused time when I’m with the doctor or PA so I guess I’d rather wait than have a doctor that doesn’t take the time to really talk to me. It took me a long time and a lot of doctor’s to find this practice where I feel safe and comfortable. I have to say that Dr. Carpenter himself leaves a little to be desired when it comes to bedside manner, but he has surrounded himself with a wonderful staff. The nurses and Physician Assistant Marcus are absolutely wonderful. more

I have been going to Dr. Carpenters office since I moved to Texas and have not only the Dr. but his assistant Marcus. Both of them are great! I always feel like I am in good hands in their care. Steve T. more

Dr. Carpenter is Fantastic !!!!!!!!! 11/3/2007

I have been seeing Dr. Carpenter for almost 11 years now ( along with my whole family of 6 ) and I have never had a problem like the previous commenter had. I think she just might have gone in on a bad or rare extemely busy day. He has three other doctors who work underneath him now and they all do a very great job in taking care of there patients. Dr. Carpenter is one of the best doctors I have ever seen, and I wouldn't take me or my future children anywhere else. more

His office was like a three ring circus 8/18/2005

We chose Dr.Carpenter on paper, never hearing about him. My husband got sick and needed to see a physican. We made an appointment for Dr. Carpenter at 1 pm. We arrived early to fill out paperwork. The entire waiting room was filled. We sat there for an hour and a half before actually being called back to an exam room. Then we waited for an hour to see the doctor after being put in an exam room. The office staff was nice but the nurses were rude. My husband was in pain with a staph infection and was in the office for 3 hours. We vowed we would never go back to Dr. Carpenter. more
