Die-hard Hurricanes fans will hate me for saying it, but it’s only fun to watch this team when they’re having a winning season like they did when they made it to the Stanley Cup finals in 2003. The RBC arena is a great place to watch them smack the puck into the goal, even if it is a pretty expensive place to visit. Parking is ample, and lines to and from the games go pretty quickly. Although I save money by sitting in the nosebleed section ($12.00), you can get by-the-ice seats if you’re willing to shell out $100 smackeroos. You won’t have a problem getting seats unless the Canes are having a great season. Then you might want to get them in advance, especially when they’re playing teams from states like Pennsylvania, New York, and Michigan. So many transplants to the Raleigh area snatch up the good seats pretty fast to these games.
