When I moved to this area, I did not expect that my thick, dark hair would cause all kinds of "hair-don'ts", but it did. I spent a few years going to stylists that would try to stick me with styles for people with thin, blonde hair. The final straw was when I asked for subtle highlights and came out of one salon looking like Cruella de Ville from 101 Dalmatians. Thankfully, I met hairstylist Erika immediately following this hair disaster. Erika is very professional, has a fun personality, and is a genius with thick hair. Both Erika and Linear Hair are great. After moving here a couple years ago, I was so excited to find a great salon in my area. Lindsey is now my stylist and I couldn't be happier! I can't imagine going to another salon. Lindsey is an awesome stylist, not to mention that she gives the best head massages at the sink! TO DIE FOR!!! I've never come home not liking my cut and color. I'm always 200% satisfied! I highly recommend this salon!!! Pros: Amazing services and stylists Cons: none i can think of more

I have never gotten my hair cut and absolutely loved it afterward - until now! I went to Linear from the reviews I found on this very site and chose Melissa. I had very long, boring straight hair and I went to her with basically no idea on what I wanted. She changed my look entirely, (cut off a ton of hair!) which is exactly what I needed! I left feeling absolutely amazing about my new look. She listened actively, gave me her ideas and was so fun to talk to! She told me exactly what she was doing and taught me how to use the products and how to style my new cut. I would recommend Melissa to anyone - she is so thorough and knowledgeable! She has gained a client for life! Pros: Great atmosphere, friendly staff! Cons: none! more

all i can say is "wow"!! i was looking for a place to get my hair cut and i found something that was so much more! they offered me everything i could want in a hair salon and were so polite to me the minute i walked in the door. im glad i found them, i will definitely be going back for more! i couldnt be happier with my haircut! more

All you have to know- The Haircuts are nice, the coloring is clean, the styling is beautiful, the facials are VERY relaxing. Everytime I've been to Linear Hair, my expierence has been at the top notch. Nothing could top it. Pros: Everything is relaxing. more

I was visiting some family down in California and I kept complaining about my frizzy,dry, damaged hair. So, my sister-in-law couldn't stop telling me about Linear Hair. I didn't really want to see a different stylist then the one back home but I decided to just check it out. When I got with my stylist, you could really tell they knew exactly what they were doing, so it made me relax a bit. After I was all done, I loved my hair! Probably even more then my stylist back home! Whenever I'm back in California, I'll most definently be back- and for all of you out there reading this, if your ever in Costa Mesa, make sure you stop in there!! Pros: Thumbs up FOR SURE! more

I'm usually not the kind of person that likes to be touched in anyway but after my sister dragged me into the salon for a girls day some things changed. I got a haircut and usually when I get haircuts the stylist yanks and pulls to hard on my head but not at Linear Hair. They touched my head gently and touched it like it was their own. Another thing I needed done was my brows and lip waxed, oh was I not excited.. but it actually didn't turn out as bad as I thought. They let me know when they were going to pull and how it was going to happen. I'm positive I will be returning soon. :) Pros: Letting you know whats going on. more

My hair isn't the easiest to deal with. I've looked all around this city for the right salon and yes I have found it. My hair is very thick and curly, not something many people would like to deal with. As I walked in I was very nervous as to what they might want to do, I mean I'm not touchy with my hair, you just never know what people like to do these days. As I got to talking to one of the stylist, they made me feel good and made me feel like my hair wasn't just some big curly mess. My hair was also a dull brown color and hey, I said what the hell lets go all out and funky. They were down with whatever, as long as it wasn't bad for my hair. It also made me feel good that they actually cared if my hair turned out nice and not flat and boring like other salons. After the cutting and coloring, they straightened my hair and wow, I never knew my hair could feel so amazing!! Pros: Stylist are friendly and know exactly what to say. Cons: none. more

I was quoted a price of $55 for my hair after my hair dresser looked at the length of my hair. After a long painful hair cut where she pulled, yanked, and tangled my hair even though I said that it hurt - my hair dresser wrote up my ticket and charged me $65 instead. I questioned it but nothing was done. I left feeling disappointed and taken advantage of. Later on I decided to call back and ask the manager about it. I called on Saturday and the receptionist said the manager wouldn't be in until Monday. The receptionist took my name and number and said the manager would call me back on Monday. A week has passed and I have received no phone call. more
