Cappella Court

This is a complete joke! Please do not have your wedding at this location. I will admit it's beautiful as well as the coordinator Diane is great, but the owner does not even care about the service she is providing to her clients. I had my wedding at the place a month ago when my cake was not correct, the food was not up to standards not to mention among other things. I called and reported everything and spoke to the young lady their who explained this was not the first time this issue has come up! I emailed the owner complete details, but never even got a phone call to ask me anything or to apologize. I called numerous times and even went to the place still not response. Please keep you money ladies. It's not worth it to even waste your time! I wish I would have done more research on this place!\r BEWARE!!!!!! more

I am newly engaged and I am just starting my search for a venue. I recently visited Cappella Court and I must admit I was not exactly thrilled when driving up to the location. The parking is great but the building lacks character and I would have never thought it to be a wedding venue. I was pleasantly surprised once I looked inside. The ballrooms are beautiful. I was greeted by a wonderful lady who reminded me of my mom who was killed in a car accident. She made me feel instantly relaxed and explained all about the venue and gave me lots of information about what was included in the inclusive package. It was great information but I felt a little like it was scripted. Then she smile and said, Now, tell me about you. How can I help you plan your perfect day. My first thought was I want my mom with me but I knew I couldnt tell a perfect stranger this so I said, I want my guest to feel welcomed. I want them to enjoy every minute of my wedding as if they were invited to my home. She chuckled and said, Have you ever planned a dinner party? I said no but I helped my mom with lots of them. She said, Well then, are you ready to plan your first dinner party? I promise it will be the most memorial dinner party you will ever plan. Suddenly all that information she was giving me was beginning to make sense to me. It didnt feel scripted any longer. She was laying the foundation to my dinner party. My Wedding! The biggest dinner party I would ever have. The short time we spent together really calm my fears. I stopped there on my way home from work on a whim. She was locking up the buldings. She gave me so many helpful hints on how to save on my wedding. The time had past so quickly I didnt have time to stay for the estimate but I promised to come in the following Saturday. On the way home I recall having that wonderful feeling. I AM A BRIDE!. I was so excited it was sort of like looking for the perfect dress you'll know it in your gut when it's your dress. I knew I had found my venue and I knew i wanted Valinda to help me plan my very first dinner party. Unfortunately the business side of me started reseaching and I have found lots of mixed reviews. Some I feel are old employees like the review claims but some reviews I feel may be the owner or employees posting reviews. I know that I would not take the time to post all of these reviews on so many sites if I were a bride. The reviews seem to be back to back. I was heart broken. more

Cappella Court made our daughter more

I thought planning my wedding from Italy was going to be overwhelming and was happy to find a place that took care of so many of the details for me. They made my planning easy with tons of emails with photos and drawings and a long meeting with the coordinator and owner when I arrived back in the country just days before my wedding. Everything was amazing from the food and cakes to the coordinator and the little details. Their owner Sandra helped with a lot of the details and designing, their dj Tom made the reception fun, their coordinator Diane organized every minute. The prices were the best I had seen from the eight places I considered. I couldn more

My daughter had her wedding at Cappella Court just a few weeks ago and the service we received from their staff and owner was above and beyond our expectations! We tasted the food at their open house and it was so good that we increased the menu for the reception and it tasted even better than we expected. The owner designed the lighting, special monogram spot light and cake to go with all my daughters decorations and made everything fit all my daughter more

I was just had my reception at the Marsh Lane Location (I don't know why this site shows Richardson) on 6/3. The food was wonderful and the cakes were amazing! We would reccomend it to anyone and my sister will now be planning her wedding with Cappella Court Gardens in 2012! I can't wait to get all of my pictures and videos back! more

Cappella Court, is beautiful venue. I have just started my journey... I have been searching since May and found this place mid June... Sandra- Owner is very helpful and up front thus far. She is awesome at working with you on whatever budget you may have, likes and dislikes, menu, bar, cocktail hour, and the list goes on... When given the estimate in the beginning I felt as though the 25% down was a hefty payment due to looking at other venues not demanding those types of payments as well as no monthly payments and all funds due 2 weeks before. Sandra requires 25% down as well as monthly payments... Just depends on what is affordable and what fits your budget. I will be updating periodically as my journey moves forward! I think its important for Bride to Be's be informed on both good and bad points. I give this venue 4 * as there is always room for improvement in any situation! Thank you Sandra! more

To the owner SANDRA HARRISON of Cappella Court and the Alexander Mansion I did not promise anything to any bride for cash on the side, nor did I steal from you, commit fraud of any kind. If a bride complains about you and your business don't assume that it is me a ""disgruntled employee"", I don't waste time on something like revenge that is where there is a higher power, and I amswer to him. The only thing I regret about leaving is that it didn't happen sooner, I have never worked for someone who works so hard at taking from people, creating lie after lie about one employee or another, none of what you have said or posted as a bride are remotely true. I am not like all the others you have taken from in the past. I am not scared of you and I don't care enough about all this to let any or one part touch my life in the smallest way. You have always known my belief, and I believe that you pay for the wrong you do to others. My life has been so blessed since I have gotten away from the one thing that brought me down, working for YOU! I loved the job itself and the brides, I just didn't like the dishonesty that you put forth daily. more

This was one of the best venues for the price I could have found. The customer service was excellent, I can't thank them enough for all of there hard work and willing to help at any time. The venue is absolutely beautiful, the gardens were exactly what we wanted without the stress of weather, they have a back up plan and it's great, the food is wonderful, cakes were perfect. I would recommend this venue to EVERYONE.. I wanted to give a special thanks to Jennifer and Stephen they are the sweetest two people and they went above and beyond to help us anytime we popped in..the day of both of them were there making sure everything was perfect, and to me it was the most perfect special day!! If I could give them 0 stars, I would. First impressions are everything, and they made a terrible one at the Carrollton location. They forgot our appointment even though we called to confirm it. Then they acted like it was our fault they were not prepared. I took off work to be there for the appointment and the man was so rude I wanted to leave right away. My fiance talked me into staying to talk to the lady who we made the appointment with, but she acted like we were intruding on her time, so I said nevermind. She had already given us lots of info and we came prepared to make the hefty 25% down payment to reserve our date, but I couldn't get out of there fast enough. RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. Completely disappointed in how I was treated. more

We had our wedding September 12th this past Saturday in the Gardens was praying that it wouldn't rain but it did! No need to stress with Cappella they have a rain plan, I had two choices not ""I am sorry it rained"" like at other outside venues who make you sign an agreement if it rains you pretty much loose everything. My coordinator was provided by Cappella and was so wonderful just over all pleasant. I too was told the kitchen was not finished yet and that the food was to arrive 30 minutes before reception time from The Alexander Mansion, which I will as is 20 to 30 minutes from Cappella, the food was great although I nibbled my guest said everything was absolutely wonderful. I had the Dj as well he did a great job and my guest danced and had so much fun. I have to say we did have a great time. We had a bar which the guest really enjoyed they have a good price for alcohol. The bartenders were friendly as well as the staff that tended to everything during the recpetion. I read the review below and find that our expierences were so different..I met with Jennifer so many times as well and she and her husband are the best! This revivew is for Cappella Court's new location at 2424 Marsh Lane, Carrollton. \r \r If you have no need for true customer service, attention to detail and flexibility and simply want a venue to have a wedding ceremony and reception, you may like this place. Otherwise, please note the following review. Our daughter’s wedding was held on Friday, September 4, 2009, at 5:30 p.m.\r \r The food was decent in taste but was told (ahead of time) that it would be prepared at the Garland location and transported over because the kitchen was not up and running at the Carrollton site. We did the herb roasted chicken, asparagus and red potatoes. The asparagus was totally soft (mushy)--I assume because of the preparation and/or transport time.\r \r Be sure that you do not end up with the facility coordinator by the name of Teresa. She was basically useless. She was not at the rehearsal because she had another obligation. Mind you, the time and date of the rehearsal was dictated by the facility. On the day of the wedding, there was still setup that wasn't done. We had provided our requests ahead of time as they directed. I found out after the fact that Teresa snagged some of our groomsmen to place facility items prior to our ceremony! \r \r We had rehearsal the evening prior to the wedding. Fortunately, I drifted over to the ballroom to learn that a number of our requests were either not set up or set up incorrectly.\r \r One hour is allowed for your rehearsal. We had 1 1/2 hours prior to the ceremony for setup time. Typically, you get one hour. Fortunately, we had the additional 30 minutes because we were the only wedding in the Venetian ballroom that evening. Apparently, this is due to back-to-back rehearsals and/or weddings and/or sales time (venue viewing). We were very pushed for time for setup because we chose to dress the place up. If you like their basic presentation for the chapel foyer and ballroom table centerpieces, you may be fine. If you want to dress up the guest book sign-in table in the chapel foyer and/or add table favors, etc., you will need to work fast. The facility did not have table number stands so had to acquire those on my own. Mind you, all they do is weddings. We were told that only recently had someone asked for table number stands. We paid the extra $5 per person for the ""seated"" dinner. The plates were brought out without covers. We chose a red velvet flavored cake. It was not good at all and the icing tasted watered down—definitely was not cream cheese icing. They offer ficus trees for the ballroom which we were told have lights. Now looking at pictures, the lights were never plugged in, if they had lights. Our pictures only show green leaves with no lights on. They do not offer chair sashes if you have a desire for those.\r \r Also note that the chapel floors make for a lot of chair noise when it’s time for the bride to enter and your guests stand.\r \r For the $10K+ price we paid, I would recommend that you do your homework for other facilities. If you like simple and none of the things I mentioned above matter, perhaps it works as a one-stop shop. It was not a one-stop shop for us.\r \r I will say that Jennifer (day-to-day manager) and her husband were generally friendly. Great place to get married! I DID my research and found that for everything they offer they were the most affordable place around and I DID go to so many other facilities...Cappella Court by far was the most reasonable price and offered more than any other venue! I never experierce anything negative at all!! I loved my wedding day and everything was to my expectation! great place, affordable, highly recommend!!!!!!!!!! Please do your homework before booking with this place. They are ALL smiles and helpful until they get your money. Go to theknot. com under the dfw section and read their reviews. You can get better one stop service elsewhere. I booked with this location and was so absolute put off by how rude and unprofessional they treated me AFTER getting my deposit and several payments that I booked elsewhere. This is a HORRIBLE company, with AWFUL business practices. By all means, don't just listen to me...PLEASE do your homework. They were all smiles until I was 'locked' in. I foolishly didn't do enough research and it has cost me hard earned money. Research, research, research!! I just thank God, I was able to find another venue that is spectacular! Good luck!! Cappella Court Gardens is one of the most amazing venues in Carrollton area. I went to a ton of venues and I liked a lot of them but fell in love with Cappella Court Gardens. It is like you are in your own world a little Itailian themed town. I felt like I was a Queen not just a Princess but a Queen in my own country. I was very impressed with everything they offered. There is so much you get for a very affordable price. I had a great coordinator, DJ, and the staff was absolutely in tune with every detail of my special day. The cakes were amazing, we got to taste them and design them, and I was a bride that was all about the cakes. My groom now husband was so please to have his on room, in the ballroom we reserved there was the most awesome funiture that is all he talked about, King chair and flat screen TV and a small bar area...what else could he have ask for? The day of our event we had so much fun the Wedding was so beautiful and the reception is still being talked about by our guest how much fun they had dancing and it was a party! Followed by my Honeymoon in Jamiaca what more can I say!! Wonderful wonderful wonderful, I would recommend anyone who wants to have a very impressive wedding for a low affordable price..especially with todays economy!
