Capital Area Mental Health Center is sort of a last resort for people who cannot afford a therapist otherwise. Sessions (last I checked) cost about $20, but you get what you pay for. The people who act as therapists are often not licensed or even graduated---many are students, perhaps even undergraduate ones. The quality of therapy provided is so low, that you'd probably be better off saving the $20 and talking to a good friend instead. I felt worse after I left than when I got there, because my counselor was so incompetent and said things like "I have no idea what to say or how to help you...I'm not really familiar with this type of thing."
