Capello Salons & Day Spa

I researched spas around the area to take my bridal party to get all of our nails done the day before my wedding and finally decided that Capello sounded good... I called and booked an appointment a little over a week in advance for 6 of us and was told I would be sent a contract after I gave them my credit card number to hold my appointment. The day of the appointment, I called a few hours before to make sure we were all set because I never received a contract. After the woman on the phone fumbled around for a minute, she told me that they had booked my appointment for the following day, MY WEDDING DAY, and that it wasn't their fault because we didn't have a contract. I was VERY upset and told her she needed to fix it, as my girls were already on their way in from Rochester, over an hour away. She said "let me call our other locations," and as I asked her if she needed my phone number, she hung up on me. She called back 20 minutes later to say, "Well, all 3 of our locations are booked solid, but we can get you in tomorrow at 1 still." "No, my wedding is tomorrow. What am I supposed to do TODAY?" "The best I can offer you is a gift certificate for the next time you book a party with us." No, I will NEVER book ANYTHING with them again because of the mess they created for me a few hours before my wedding rehearsal and a day before my wedding. It was unnecessary stress, and now I want to make sure all of you know NOT to go to Capello... AWFUL AWFUL EXPERIENCE! more

I was shocked that the hairstylists at the Main Street, Williamsville location were as catty as I had heard. Several of them were sniping about other coworkers the entire time I was there..... Further, the cut & color I got was slapdash and looks horrible -- I haven't had this bad a cut in a long time. I'm going to have to pay to re-do the work -- I can't stand it, and won't wait for it to grow out .... more

I decided to try Capello based on fairly good reviews, however I have been EXTREMELY dissatisfied on the two occasions I've been and will never return. Both occasions I've been there I've had to wait at least 20 min. past the scheduled appt. time. My first experience was very rushed because my hair stylist was double booked and decided to complain about it the entire time she did my hair. I decided to give it a second chance and shame on me. I got my hair dyed and although I'm happy with the color, I'm not so happy with it being all over my face and neck. When I was getting washed out, I got squirted in the face 3 times by the incompetent girl who didn't even remotely get the dye out of my hair. After going for a second wash out (which was a shot of water to the back of my neck) they still didn't get the dye out. I then had to sit through a blow out with a girl who seemed like she didn't have a clue what she was doing, while watching the other hair stylist oogle over themselves in the mirror. Hands down, the most unprofessional, dissatisfying service I have ever experienced. I would rather go to Supercuts. more

I've been to Capellos several times. I dont think it is anything to rave about. I found that I can get a hair cut, color and high or low lights for less of a cost and better results at other businesses. I also notice that they raise their prices whenever they feel. I guess the advertising puts them in the limelight. If you want to blow away your money this is the place to go! There are so many other reputable salons that can offer the same if not better at a lower cost to pay. more

This is a very good day spa. I like going here for their waxing services. I always feel comfortable going here and the prices are reasonable for such a nice place. They also offer many other services that spas typically offer. I’ve also had a couple great massages here but I mainly come to get waxed. more

Everyone from the receptionist to the shampoo person to the hair stylists to the manicurists are extremely friendly, knowledgeable, educated, well trained and experienced. Every now and again there will be a "newbie" who is hired, but they are quickly taken under the wing of the more experienced staff, and they are well trained. I have visited the hair salon and day spa on a number of occasions and have always been pleased. However, this particular day spa and salon can be a bit pricey, at least for this area, and I have always visited with a gift certificate I was given as a birthday or holiday gift. Ordinarily, this is a place I cannot afford but wish I could! Not only do they cater to women, as you would expect, but they also do a fair amount of business for men, as well. If you have the cash to spend, you definately want to enjoy some of the salon and spa services Capello's has to offer. more

My wife goes here all the time for hair cuts and spa packages. The staff is very friendly and helped me get a gift package for mothers day. Their store is very clean and I was very impressed overall. They are also conveniently located in the village. Two thumbs up! more

This place has the coolest staff and they always make sure you get what you pay for. They have a few locations and if you haven't had a massage from Capello's, you're missing out!!!! They have full spa services as well as hair care. I've gotten color and cuts there that were different and fun. I love how they give you ideas for your face and frame. the atmosphere is friendly and professional..trendy and fun. I highly recommend Capello's for a spa day for you and your girlfriends. You won't regret it OR forget it!! more

When I get all stressed out and tense and need to relax, I go to Capello Salons and Day Spa! Very nice and relaxing atmosphere and very professional employees. I've gotten several different types of massages and recommend them all - hot stone, aroma therapy, deep tissue. They also make you feel very comfortable so you don't have to be nervous about feeling weird if this is your first time. Definitely try Capello's! more

Buffalo doesn't really have any good day spas. The pedicures are good - the manicures...well, it depends on who you get. The prices are pretty average for a local day spa. They had a good deal - a mini spa package for $125 (1 hour massage or facial; mani and pedi with lunch) - but that went up to $160. Hair cuts and color are also pretty average. Have not had a facial yet, but I have heard that they are very good. They use very nice products. more
