Cap City Comedy Club

If you’re looking for a great place to laugh and have a couple of drinks Cap City Comedy Club didn’t do it for me! The 2 comedians we saw the night we went were more crude than funny. I have a great sense of humor but if I have to pay somebody to make me laugh they better be funny! They have a 2 drink limit and even after a couple of drinks they still weren’t funny! I won’t go back unless it’s to see Carlos Mencia! more

Cap City Comedy Club is worthwhile checking out if a big comedian is coming. They have a non-smoking show time, and they require a drink minimum. They don't like if your 2 drinks that you are required to buy are sodas, even though they are wayyyyy overpriced. It is definitely an adults only place too! more

Cap City Comedy Club has a great location-right off 183, and they have lots of shows. They have a non-smoking show at 8 pm, and offer a later show that is for both smoking and non-smoking. The food is great-especially the nachos, and they offer coupons in the entertainment book for discounts. more

You will be much happier staying at home watching Comedy Central. Not only do they FORCE you to buy drinks, but they glare at you if you just want to order soda -- despite your religious beliefs or status as an alcoholic or recovering alcoholic. The opening comedian and main headliner talked about only ONE subject...S-E-X. So if you are innocent, you won't understand or appreciate the jokes. more

I love live comedy; however I don't like places with drink minimums. At capitol city there is a two drink minimum for each person at the table. Honestly, if they had reasonably priced drinks then I would okay with it. There beer is the only safe was to go as their mixed drinks are even more expensive and horrible. Aside from the drinks, the comedy can be hit or miss. It all depends on if you get a good person in town or not. They have two rooms. The room up front is usually for a weekday performance, and the room in the back is much much bigger for a well known entertainer. From my 2 visits, I would only come back for a bigger name to justify having to buy two beers (~$10 for 2) The place is clean and friendly so you should try it out if you are bored on a weekday. more

I took this class after getting a speeding ticket and it seems like a good way to get rid of the stigma on your driving record. You can get a $5 off coupon from their website for this course. The instructor wasn't really very funny but he did make a few good jokes. The videos are boring and bring some food to eat. more

My husband and I wanted to do something different than go bar hopping on New Year's Eve. We decided to go to a comedy club. It was the right decision because we had such a great time. The comedians were hilarious. The club is very clean and organized. You don't feel too cramped even though there are so many people. more
