Canton Chinese Restaurant

I used to get takeout ALL THE TIME from this place.. In the past few years I've had bad experiences with them, and found better places nearby. I have tried it a few times, and usually everything is VERY VERY oily, and I don't mind a good bit of oil, but not this much.. The ingredients seem stale, and the overall taste of the eggrolls, BBQ ribs, fried rices (pork, special, shrimp, beef), lo meins (shrimp, chicken, beef), and crab rangoon, fried wontons, orange chicken, beef, sechzuan chicken, beef...have gone down dramatically. If they can't get those easy ones right, I generally don't go back and try the more adventurous ones. more

Expensive and foul tasting food. How can they possibly stay in business? more

In regard to my previous review, I think it was a little unfair. My family who tried the food I complained about said they didn't notice the slimyness too much. I had my food refunded anyway though, and the manager was easy about it, although he seemed concerned about the chicken bone for it should not have been in there. I supposed I just happened to have the one out of a thousand accidental bones, which caused my paranoia of the slimyness. I may have also had the typical Chinese food bias, so I would like to take back my previous comment. more

I sometimes go out to get cheap take out when I don't feel like cooking, and that's what I did here. I ordered the chicken chop suey, and was tremendously disappointed and disgusted. I was expecting a flavorful, bright, and tasty dish, but instead got a drab, slimy, and unpalatable dish. With in the first few bites I bit into a little bone in the chicken and it went down hill from there. Now super cautious about biting into something else unpleasant, I felt uncomfortable and disappointed. As the food got cold, the slimyness got even more to me, and I just stopped eating and made my own meal. Now I'm not saying the restaurant is bad, but this one particular dish was. Maybe it was my fault for cheaping out and getting the $8 priced meal. more
