I stopped in tonight (Monday) sat at the bar this time and the bartender was ""on point"" she recommended a great glass of wine and food to go with it. Although service is always good, I will be at the bar on Monday's for now on. more

Fantastic! 1/17/2010

My husband took me to Camille's for my birthday. It was busy, but the waiter did not rush us. He made great recommendations. The menu has changed from what is on the web; a little less money and more choices. They offer a nice mix of authentic Italian food and steak and seafood. The ""sushi"" tasters were fantastic, as were all of the entrees. But the best part was that the tables were not on top of each other, like some restaraunts, and the entire place had a relaxed, positive vibe. There was live entertainment in the lounge. I have eaten in a lot of nice restaraunts in Boston, but this was my best dining experience in a long time. I would definitely reccomend it to anyone. Worth every penny! Pros: fantastic food, friendly wait staff, great atmosphere more

Incredible 12/21/2008

I went to Camilles last year for Valentine's Day and loved every second. Every girl got a rose-so sweet and very classy. The food was delicious and the server waited on us like royalty. THe server even separated the appetizers into two seprate plates for my fiance and I. We didn't have to do anything. It was wonderful to be treated so. I loved it so much that we want our rehearsal dinner to be at Camilles. The down side is it is pricy-we couldn't go all the time no matter how much we want to. So, do like we do if you can't spend the extra in this economy and ask for gift certificates for Christmas to Camilles from family and friends. I can't wait to get ours so that we can go out in luxury again, for no special reason at all. Pros: food, service, free valet, romantic, decor, size and quality of portions Cons: can't think of one more

horrible experience 12/9/2008

To begin with the accomodations for a party of 10 were unacceptable and uncomfortable. we were stuck in the middle of the restaurant in between tables that were shoved behind us. Very uncomfortable!! The food was ok, to me it is over priced for food that is really not that great. The service was horrible, our waiter was not even available half the time, he recommended a appetizer sampler and didn't bother to explain that we would be priced seperately for everything although EVERYTHING that is on the menu for a sampler was NOT included in our platter. So our appetizers cost more than all of the meals and drinks together, and they were NOT worth what we were over charged for. He lead us to believe we would be better of ordering what he suggested and when we received the bill it was insulting. We would have better of ordering individual appetizers, so he walked away with $180 tip for having doing nothing and misleading us. I would never recommend this place to anyone and i would never go back. Pros: there were no pros Cons: everything was a con more

Major disappointment. 8/20/2006

We went to Camille's recently, eagerly anticipating a wonderful dinner based on local hype. What a disappointment! Our table was ""stuck"" in the corner, and smelled smoky. After requesting another table, we hoped that the evening would be a success. Unfortunately, it wasn't. The service was average, the food was below average, compared to the other ""top"" Italian restaurants on the Hill, atmosphere was average. Considering the prices, and the hype, and their reputation, the eveningwas a bust. We won't be back. more
