I am new to astronomy, I was happy to find Camera Bug about a year ago. I had been trying to learn the hobby and buy equipment over the internet. I could go here and ask questions and learn. more

Stay away. 5/18/2010

I took a telescope part in to get repaired. Tim said he couldn't fix it. Without my consent he sent the part to Celestron (I could have done that myself). He sent the part without a documentation number--Celestron couldn't locate the part. It took me months to find this out because Tim would not communicate with either me or Celestron about the issue. I will never venture into this store again. Pros: n/a Cons: Zero communication. Very disorganized. more

Camera Bug is Still in Sage Hill 8/14/2008

The demise of camera bug was reported premature they are still in Sage Hill Shopping Center just moved to Suite T at the end past the Thai Coon Restaurant more

The Camera Bug has closed. About a year ago they disappeared from the Sage Hill Mall. I hear they may be doing some sales on the internet, but haven't found them. more

Best place for new and used equipment... 11/4/2005

I love Camera Bug. My father always went and soon got around to taking me on his trips to Camera Bug. Since I've grown up and done my photographic hunting on my own, I have to say that Camera Bug always has a good selection of mainstream and harder-to-find cameras and equipment. They also have a selction of telescopes and books and other things that I don't pay attention to, but I love their selection of photographic equipment. They've sold some of my stuff on consignment and gave me a fair price, and have always given me a fair price on things that I've purchased. The atmosphere has changed a bit since Larry's passing, but the guys there are doing an excellent job in keeping true to Larry's vision. more
