I attended CSUSM for my last 2 years to earn my B.A., as well as to attain my teaching credential. Overall, I am very happy with the education I received while there.
The professors were professionals who were generally well-versed in their subject matter. I minored in Spanish and was very happy with the professors in that subject especially.
I would say the major downfall of the university is that it tends to be a school where many older students go, as well as those who are less involved in activities outside of classes. Many are working jobs, trying to support families, all while attending school. There is nothing wrong with this, as I did as well, but it does leave something to be desired in extracurricular activities. I think as the dorms are built and used, this will slowly change.
