California Car Stereo

My husband had made an appointment to install a car stereo and a subwoofer in our car. He had made the appointment days ahead of time given that Fresno is over an hour drive from us. My husband left the car with them and figuring it would be a few hours based on the time we had this same equipment installed in our brothers car when he graduated (now he's leaving for the Air Force).The guy that he left the car with said it would be a couple hours. Unfortunately four hours was not enough time to install anything and another guy sounded like they needed all day to finish the car. This is the part that I found disheartening: They told my husband that IF HE WOULD HAVE BOUGHT THE STEREO FROM THEM THE WORK COULD HAVE BEEN DONE FASTER. Me being pregnant and enraged, I called them up right away against my husbands wishes and said that I was angry and that I felt bad that we trusted them ecspecially after seeing the fish symbol on their card which represents Christianity. He was very taken back by this comment and said "If you were a Christian you would forgive." I said I forgive you but I still plan on writing a truthfull review. So here I am. I know I'm a little late writing this, but I just had to respond to the negative review posted by nopay. I live in Texas now and have no personal or financial stake in California Car Stereo. I am just a past customer that knows BS when I see it. First, let me explain my experience with CCS. I had been shopping around for quite a while pricing a stereo for my car. I had recieved about 5 estimates before going to CCS. The guys at CCS were only going to charge me about half of what the others were going to charge. Then they saved me some more money by talking me out of wasing money on certain components that I didnt really need. After saving about $600, my stereo sounded way better than I thought it would. I had a few issues with some brackets holding my box, and the guys at CCS fixed it with no hassle at all. Now after saving me a bunch of money, when they clearly could have socked it to me, I dont see how anybody could call these guys crooks. Nopay states that he knows for a "fact" that his component was bought off of ebay. The only way you could know for a fact is if you A) saw Enrique purchase it off of ebay, orB) were the person who sold it to him off of ebay. You are placing your presumption on second hand information probably given to you buy a disgruntled employee or somebody who has an axe to grind. Although I highly doubt somebody stole the $50 out of your coin purse, it was pretty dumb to leave it in there. Maybe somebody thought it was a tip? If it is true, then hopefully you learned a lesson. Moral of the story is that the guys at California Car Stereo treated me great and gave me an awesome deal. If you want a sweet sounding stereo at a very good price, then I highly recomend California Car Stereo. Just my .02. Pros: Great stereos at a great price. Cons: They are 1600 miles away. JK. I've been going to California Car Stereo since i was in high school, the guy with the bait and switch idea is just CRAZY!!! The owner is not Enrique, the owner is Gene Rivera who is a well known christian in the Fresno and Sanger Community. Enrique is his son and has never, treated me or ever been dishonest in any way, They have some of the best installers in Fresno and they are autherized dealers for everthing in their store, JL Audio is the best subwoofer company in America, they are very pickey about who sells thier product, not like Kicker a band that i've even seen gas station in L.A. sell, my point is Califonia Car Stereo has not been in business for over fifthteen years (thats how long i've been going there) doing stuff like what was described down below. i took my first car there, i took my wifes car there, i took my two kids car there, my entier family (mom, dad, brothers, aunts, uncles ect.) have taken cars, boats, R.V. there. California Car Stereo has even done two of my best friends home theaters. If you want some real Fresno resident opinions about this place just call Semper Speed & Marine. Semper uses them for all their boat systems because when I purchased my boat from Semper he had them install my tower speakers. Pros: EVERYTHING Cons: NOTHING more

Hello to those who read our reviews, thank you for your interest in our company and to Scott for lettings us know about this bad review. My name is Enrique I am not the owner, but I am his son. I want to issue a challenge to the customer with the bad review, first the company name is California Car Stereo, not California car sound. Second, we do not sell any refurbished product in our store; everything is brand new and has a one year or two year full coverage warranty. Third my family has built this store on honesty and high quality work with fair prices. I have never stole anything from any customer and I am truly hurt that some one would accuse me or my workers of being thieves, we pay our workers well and I high doubt that they would risk their job with great pay and full health, dental and vision for $50. My challenge is if any customer or the person below ever our not happy with our service give us the chance to fix it, if we can't I will give you $150 cash in your hand, out of my own pocket. This is how much I believe in our service and install. This is a Christen built business and will be for as long as we own it. These GUYS ARE CROOKS! The owner, Enrique blatantly lied to me on the phone and about price and availability of a stereo I wanted. I let them sell me another unit (bait and switch) and found out later it was a refurbished unit he bought from ebay, I found that out from an inside contact. I confronted Enrique and he adamantly denied it, all the time I knew for a fact he bought it from ebay USED. Furthermore, I had a $50 stuffed in a coin bag in my console, after I picked up my car, the money was GONE, after asking the owner, he smirked and said, I have no idea what you are talking about?? I checked it before I left the car with them, I had planned on taking it with me, but I got a phone call and became distracted and forgot. It would be a vast understatement to say that I'm disappointed with California Car Sounds service and honesty. If you want to overpay for labor and components and even get used product as new, this is the place to go. DON'T GO CALIFORNIA CAR SOUNDS, THEY ARE RIP-OFF ARTISTS! i took my tahoe to Audioland and got ripped OFF!!!!!!!! i then went to Autosound lab but they didn't want to fix the stereo installation or even look at it. a friend told me about Califonia Car Stereo i took my car there they looked at my car told me stright up what was wrong with it , i had them fix it and it was awsome, they did such a great job that i took all my stuff back to audioland and replaced it with all JL Audio from Califonia Car Stereo it's so f**king great Now!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS SO MUCH CALIFONIA CAR STEREO!!!!! Pros: everything Cons: nothing more
