California Pizza Kitchen

This place used to be really crowded until the Cheesecake factory opened up nearby. It's quieted down now, but it can still be a little loud. The pizzas are a little over-priced, but still really good. They don't have a huge menu of pizzas, but they have other things available, like pastas and salads. It's not really a romantic date place, but it's good to relax and eat with some friends. more

CPK offers a wonderful variety of gourmet pizzas. Please note: this is not your typical pizza joint! This is NOT a Domino's or PapaJohn's. This is gourmet pizza. Pizza topped with chicken or ham or pineapple or soy sauce or BBQ sauce or you name it! My favorite is the BBQ Chicken Pizza -- and always on whole wheat crust. Their whole wheat crust is definitely more flavorful than their standard plain crust. It definitely adds to the unique flavor of their Original BBQ Chicken Pizza: chicken, gouda cheese, red onions all on a wheat crust with BBQ sauce instead of your typical marinara. Prices are on the expensive side; but definitely worth it for this cuisine. The staff has always been friendly and courteous. Service has always been excellent. No complaints at all from me. more

Being a fan of Asian cooking, I like the combination of Asian flavors on a pizza. If you are the less adventorous type, this place may take some getting used to. Maybe try their regular Italian fair and move up to the flavor mixes. or you can check out their pizzas at the grocery store first before committing to a restaurant visit. prices tend to be higher than at Dominos or Pizza Hut, but the pizzas are fresher and the flavor is so much more intense. They have a good selection of light fares, such as salads or soups and even a kids menu. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit. more

They have a very large selection of pizzas, some of which are pretty far from your standard pepperoni. Some are a little too weird for me, but I think most could find something on the menu to enjoy. It's a nice place to go with a group of people because you might be able to sample several pizzas. The service has been pretty good when I've been there. Not amazing but can be pretty good. more

There are so many choices for pizza at CPK. I love the variety. The appetizers are good too. The children's menu is pretty good. My 2 year old loves the pizza. Overall, a great choice for "different" pizzas! more

We love Calfornia Pizza Kitchen--so many pizza choices that you will want to go again and again so you can try them all! The appetizers and food, which they do have more than pizza, are fantastic! The prices are a bit more than going to a cheap pizza joint, but it's so worth it. The atmosphere is awesome--very casual. The waitstaff is friendly always. Do expect a wait most times of the day. This is a busy establishment!! There is a small outside dining area, which is great for spring and summer weather. more
