Cafe Northwest is an inconspicous but trendy restaurant nestled amongst the giant national chain steakhouses that dominate the southeastern section of town. The selection of food is very broad, catering to varied American tastes as well as specializing in greek dishes. Of particular note are the desserts and cheesecake, which are the best in town, in my opinion. Even better than the food, however, is the service. I have yet to encounter a waiter that was less than perfectly charming. Also, Cafe Northwest serves great gyros at $4 apiece -a good fast lunch, and a good way to avoid all the greasy fast food available nearby.
