Best Cafe in Town 6/13/2006

When my girlfriend first took me to Cafe Metro I didn't think the food would be too good, but this place is amazing. Everything from their Turkey Cranberry, Chicken Avocado Warp, Chinese Chicken Salad, and Barbeque Chicken Pizza are delicious lunches. Also, if you go during the morning don't forget to check out their delicious crossaints filled with cheese, turkey or ham and eggs. One word to describe this restaurant is YUMMY! more

Apples and Turkey and Cheese, Oh MY! 3/24/2005

If asked to describe Cafe Metro's sandwiches in one word, I would simply reply, ""Scrumptious!"" The perfect spot to walk to from my office, I stumbled upon Cafe Metro and now get regular Metro-Cravings. Try 'em. You'll see. Pros: Food, Food, Food Cons: parking more

Cafe Taste Buds 2/18/2003

The Turkey Cranberry sandwich had me salivating like a pre-pubescent adolescent over a Victoria Secret's catalogue. Talk about good tasting. Any people in the area that usually frequent a little cafe called ""Serrano's"" need to turn around and make the 5 block journey to Cafe Metro. Unlike other cafe's the service was off the charts! I explained to the lady that it was my first time dining at her friendly establishment. Instead of rushing me along, she took the time out to go over some of there delightful little sandwiches on the menu. I ofcourse being the cranberry connoisseur that I am chose the turkey cranberry sandwich. For an extra buck I made it a combo. However I didnt really care for there side salad and soup. Just stick to the basics and grab yourself a drool enducing sandwich. You wont have regrets! Pros: Cranberry Turkey, Friendly Service, Pleasure was all mine Cons: None! more

Good lunch spot 11/1/2002

A great lunch place with nice value. Not that many places to sit but it's never been that crowded. The outside patio is fun for people watching too! more

Make it to Metro 7/12/2002

if you work in the midwilshire area this cafe is a great spot to eat lunch. generous and delicious sandwhiches (try the chicken varieties...very nice) along with a side of salad for under $5. can't beat it. and a great selection of beverages. european style prep/presentation coupled with the outdoor cafe dining make this a cut above all the other cheap eats in the area. Pros: tasty sandwhiches, euro style more

Great sandwiches 7/3/2002

This place is a much needed bistro in the Wilshire Center area of LA. Very tasty and original sandwich and salad creations make it a stand out. Don't be put off if you see a line coming out the door, it actually moves quite fast. more

Delicious Sandwiches 6/12/2002

This cute cafe has great sandwiches (the bread is delicious) and the best Chai Lattes. If you're a frequent visitor, ask for the Lunch Card. It's a good place to go if you're checking out the Farmer's Market on Friday and just want a sandwich for lunch; it's right across the street. more

yum! yum! yum! 5/29/2002

I have only had one thing but initially deciding was very difficult. I was tempted to try the Chicken and Walnut salad (I don't like chicken, that is how delicious it looked). The Smoked Turkey with mango chutney sounded super. And the hard boiled egg salad and aioli sounded like a good staple. In the end I had to ask the woman behind the counter to decide for me. I got the egg salad and man was it tasty! In addition to the sandwhich, a nice finishing salad comes with it. Their baguettes are actually baguettes and not sub rolls. Their drink offering is euro based, sparkling lemondades, mineral water and interesting colas. Definately hitting this place up again for lunch. Pros: delivery, varied specials, inexpensive Cons: too much dressing, ordering area crowded more

Great lunch specials 5/16/2002

This cafe sells great sandwiches, pizzas and salads using the freshest ingredients. The selections are interesting, unlike most of the surrounding cafes where the most exciting thing you can get is a turkey sandwich on wheat. Plus they have great lunch specials that include a lunch item, a salad, soup of the day, and a drink for around $5 to $7. more
