In town for Jazzfest, I was very pleased with the accomodations and treatment that I received from the Pontchartrain. Unless you are dying to be down in the Quarter the Garden District ended up being the perfect location. Only a half mile from Commander's Palace and the street car right out in front of the hotel. Not to mention the history of the hotel and the tastefully done renovations. I can honestly say that I may have found a hotel that I will be pleased to return to. Pros: Good location, Street Car close by, Good jogging paths Cons: Bigger restaurant more

Will Come Back 4/27/2003

Unless you are dying for the Quarter this is a perfect spot. Only a half mile from Commander's Palace and the streetcar line is right out front. You can easily make your way downtown or head uptown and go to the park or riverbend. Pros: Nice location, Good jogging area Cons: No pool or gym more
