Sold out - New place is named "tavern On Cogswell". APparently will be a taver in the rear portion and a "sit down" restaruant in front, with the original Avanti Chef possible back on board. more

Having been a regular customers, we were disappointed in the recent visit on Valentines day. First, the hostess couldn't find our name on the reservation list, even though it was plainly visible, Second, after finding our confirmed reservation and were seated(at a table reserved for someone else), we discovered the COLD temperature in the restaurant. Third, drinks from the bar were reduced in size (almost 1/2 normal). The food service and quality of the food was, as usual, very good, as was the service of the person assigned to our table. Subtle changes in service over the past months provides a hint a deteriorating business. We hope the restaurant survives the recent loss of it's well liked owner, and the competition of new businesses in the growing community. Café Avanti is an asset to the community. more

The 'Nightly Features' are my favorite. They serve Filet Mignon, Grilled Tuna, Mediterranean Grouper and many other divine dishes. The service was superb and the ambiance is excellent. more

I must say that I've never had a bad meal here and I have tried most everything on the menu. It's the only nice/upscale restaurant in the area and prices are actually very reasonable considering the fare. Steve has worked wonders with the decor and the bar can easily become the favorite watering hole in the lake area. Polish the service up a bit and you have a restaurant second to none. more

Finally, a class restaurant with elegant food in Pell City. I must say I am amazed that the local clientèle have continued to support this upscale restaurant. On my last visit the were out of one ingredient to my favorite dish, but willing exchanged it for Sun Dried Tomato's upon my request. This Yankee has not seen this good of Italian since leaving the Northeast. more

If you're looking for a nice place in town to get authentic italian food, then this is the place. They offer a great selection of italian cuisine, from pastas to pizza. The service is great, but the prices are a little on the expensive side. The atmosphere is very dim and romantic, this would be a great place to take your date. more

Cafe Avanti is located on Hwy 78 in Pell City. The food is very good, the price may be a bit steep, and it is sometimes inconvenient, b/c they prefer for you to have reservations, however they will accomodate you, if you are willing to wait until an un-reserved table becomes available. However, the atmosphere is nice, and we do enjoy the food. more

This place has really good food. They specialize in Italian food. They have pizza, pasta, seafood, and steak. They are open for lunch. My baby shower was held at the restaurant and it was very fancy food. They did a very good job. We also go there all the time for their lunch specials. more
