Could use some updating... 10/22/2007

I moved here from Richmond VA; I expected the same 'Capital City' nightlife that is jumpin' in VA; I am disappointed; If I had to give some pros of CC's they would be laid-back atmosphere, decent DJ, diversity on any given night, and fair prices; my biggest con would be the outdated decor (even if management is trying to pay homeage to the 80's), the next biggest con would be the shows (could use to book better and more new to the area performers---even if it means bringing performers from out of state). The bartenders could be a bit more respectful of those patrons who don't drink; because we tip for good customer service, too (even if all we are asking for IS a glass or bottle of water). Non-drinkers pay to get in, also. Overall, it's okay. There ARE some terrific people working there and with the exception of a couple of the bartenders I've otherwise been treated very well. Thank you for letting me give 2 cents worth. Liz in N. Raleigh Pros: Laid-back atmosphere, diversity Cons: Outdated decor, redundant shows more

I have been going to cc's for over 5years and love it when I want to go out and have fun that is the place I want to be.. I love the show sometime but would like to see more ladies come out and do there thing...I come to have fun and party and sometimes a little more.. more

Love It 6/5/2006

Wednsday and Thursday nights are a great mixed (men and women) environment that really is a lot of fun. The music is great, the environment is fun, the shows could use a little work, but the DJ (Cedric), and the MC (Brianna Allure) are great!!!! Drinks have recently gotten a little weaker however...but CC's is still the best option in the area!!! Pros: Fun, Great Music, Mixed Crowd Cons: Weak Drinks, Smokey, Crowded more

Simply the BEST!!!! 5/29/2005

Love this club I met most of my girlfriends there and thats where I found my wife tweety. more

What happened? 2/10/2005

OK....I decided to give cc another try....I won't make that mistake again!!!!! What is up with all the mexicans.....they were everywhere and full of attitude. As I was told by the guy at the door they have latin night because the manager likes the young ones......WHATEVER!!!! Bad music...bad drinks and MUCH more attitude than legends.....SKIP IT AND GO ELSEWHERE..... This was one HOT party spot. Something has changed in the last few weeks!!! Now is just BAD!!! What happened CC? more

Great club 8/11/2003

Friendly bartenders and staff - acommodating DJ - very resonable pricing - makes for a great nightclub Pros: friendly, inexpensive, interesting people Cons: decor more

Got to love it. 7/24/2003

Being this was my first nightclub I was a little swept away at first. However, I have seen most of the other gay bars in Raleigh and have always found that I like CC's much better. The place is open, and the people very freindly. I can see why this is still the best G/L bar in the Triangle. Pros: Great Staff, good prices, good atmosphere more

It is a club flashback to 1982 11/16/2002

Blast back to 1982 with the chic glass brick walls, crappy TV monitors everywhere, and a very VFW style interior. The staff is friendly though, and the prices pretty fair, but then again it takes more than just cheap drinks, and a nice bartender with his shirt off to make a good club. The shows are good, and entertaining but I just can't get over the chaotic blend of fancy and crappy design elements that aren't very cohesive, nor stick to any one theme. Pros: Inexpensive, less attitude, less crowded Cons: ugly bar, ugly people more

The Way To Go 11/14/2002

I Love it! The staff is excellent, the music is great, and the shows are fabulous. I have enjoyed this club everytime I set foot through its doors. I would suggest it to anyone looking for a good time. And with some of the best prices in town for the door and the drinks you just can't go wrong. Pros: shows, staff, parking rebate more

SIMPLY THE BEST 10/29/2002

This will always be my favorite bar. It is the first gay bar I ever visited. When I started going to the bars. I will always remember CC.Had so much fun dancing.THose was the good ole days when I was young. Now I am 42 and live in Des Moines Iowa. SO if you ever visit Des Moines stop by and visit the Blazing Saddle, Dally's,Faces and the The Garden. Our city fouyr gay bars. Keep up the good work CC. I was there a couple of years ago for a visit. Have change so much since the late 8o's when i was there every night to the week. Dennis HOlder des Moines Iowa Pros: diversity more

Best Drag in Town! 9/8/2002

As a short term resident of NC I have found the staff of the CC Nightclub have made my move a genuinely more pleasant experience. As a former bar manager I can see the best and worst in local bars and CC Nightclub is one of the best. I must also admist that I am also inspired by their Wednesday and Friday night shows. With an award winning staff and great entertainment how could you go wrong. Pros: Staff, Drag Shows, Cheap Drinks Cons: Smokey more

Neigbourhood without the Attitude! 8/14/2002

The music is not as good as Legend's but the friendly staff and patrons make up it. The piano bar and the friendly bartenders are great! more

Best Staff in Town 8/4/2002

This bar truly has the friendliest staff in the triangle. As a long time patron of other Raleigh nightclubs I have found CC Nightclub to have the strongest focus on staff/patron interaction. This receptive spirit is transferred to the crowd and makes everyone feel right at home. Pros: crowded, discounted parking, attitude Cons: smokey more

Love to dance 7/25/2002

it is the best club for dancing. the music is good and a mix of top 40, dance, techno and gay traks. love it more

  • In Short
If you're ready for flashy lights, walls plastered in mirrors and an enormous, smoking (literally) dance floor, check out Capitol Corral (otherwise known as The CC), the oldest club on the block. Join the children at the bar--these guys are friendly--or juke all night to the thump of top 20 dance tracks. Look forward to lots of fun--something's jumpin' off each night of the week. Friday and Saturday nights CC's usually hosts a special event, and the crowd parties with extra heat.
