My husband has some problems with skin abnormalities, so we made an appt. with this doctor. She dismissed his concern and made a very sarcastic and demeaning remark saying it was the same thing the ""elephant man"" had. She said it wasn't anything do to but live with it. This hurt my husband's feelings and he said he would never go back. Also, the TV in the (nasty looking) waiting room was so loud, it was miserable to sit there and endure. This is definitely not the place to go if you're looking for a doctor with a compassionate personality./ more

I was very pleasantly surprised! I was scared after reading the reviews on Dr. Buntin, but I went anyway because I have limited availability and needed someone with a current opening. She was jolly and friendly. I was prepared to share my symptoms in the shortest way possible so as not to get interrupted and cut off, but that was not an issue. She was was thorough and complementary and gave me free samples for a medication. more

I personally have not been to see this Dr, nor would I ever recommend anyone go see this Dr. I have a friend, who just so happens to be HIV+, that sought out treatment from this Dr. and was treated horrible. Am I correct when I say UNIVERSAL PERCAUTION!!!! Ever Dr. is taught this in medical school, I guess she either skipped that day or feel asleep when it was taught. From what I understand she was extremely rude. It really amazes me that someone, especially an African American woman, can discriminate against someone who has HIV. If she did her homework, she should know that she could harm my friend more than my friend could harm her! When will this society realize and get educated on the transmission of HIV/AIDS. Very sad that now my friend had to go through this type of treatment, especially by a supposely knowledgeable medical profession. My friend will probably never trust another Dr in fear of the same situation. Did it ever occur to anyone that this may be the reason that the infection rate is rising, because of the discrimination? I would be weary too, if I were in my friend's shoes. more

My husband saw this woman once and refused to go back. She dismissed his complaints as trivial and refused to listen to his symptoms and instead prescribed treatment that made no sense, thereby necessitating another doctor visit with a competent dermatolgist. We provided two insurance cards to Dr. Buntin's staff. We had no further contact with this doctor or her staff until a full year later when we were contacted by an attorney's office claiming we owed $66.88, which represented our $50.00 co-pay and ""attorney's fees."" We explained that since we have two insurances, we don't usually owe anything. Long story short: Buntin claims she doeesn't ""accept"" one of our insurances, but this was never told to us. Her office input our address incorrectly in their system, so we never received her ""alleged"" 10 notices advising us of the outstanding balance. Their billing services even had my listed as ""female."" Instead of calling the attorney's office, she could have called us (like the attorney did) and we would obviously have paid the $50.00 if we had been told she didn't accept one of the insurances. We have paid the co-pay, but I WILL NOT pay for attorney's fees because this woman can't get her act together. Cons: Everything more

She takes time to eplain your health problems and soluions. I did not feel rushed. Willing to answer all questions in words you can understand. Pros: Little to no waiting to see the doctor more

I was needing to see a Dermatologist and because of Dr. Denise Buntin's review in city search, I called her office and made an appointment. After only 15 minutes in her office, I realized that I had made a big mistake, got my co-pay back, and left before treatment. Dr. Buntin was intimidating, condescending, and rude. I definitely WILL NOT recommend her to anyone especially to my family or friends. Pros: friendly receptionist, location Cons: less than satisfactory treatment, waste of my time. more
