Good Value for Good Product 5/17/2006

Buffalo Exchange has it all! They have lots of different clothing items to purchase at very very reasonable prices. Buffalo Exchange has items for both men and woman, clothing and shoes. You can find vintage clothes here, or even newer style clothes. The staff here are always polite, and very nice. They are helpful if you are in need, and are looking for something pacific. This place is right in the heart of Haight and Ashbury, and give you the right San Francisco feel. more

Buffalo Exchange is a used clothing store with various locations around the bay area. My favorite is the one in Berkeley as their location in the Haight is always picked through and doesn't have much selection. But they are a great place for selling your used clothes and making a few bucks, and sometimes you can find a gem there. You may have to dig around and go during off days though. more

Funky, cheap clothes 8/18/2005

I love Buffalo Exchange, it's like a thrift store with way better clothes, yet only slightly higher prices. Although, the style tends to be a little less cutesy-trendy, and more street/preppy/rockabilly, they still have killer stuff. I always have good finds there, it just requires a bit of digging. They have cheap sunglasses, and tacky jewlrey too (if you're into that sort of thing). Plus, you can trade in the clothes you don't want for cash or store credit, a great way to make some money or revamp your wardrobe! more

Buffalo Exchange 8/12/2005

I have always found Buffalo Exchange to be a good value. Their prices are reasonable and the selection is good. Also, it's not too jam packed that you can't see what they have. I can usually find something funky and unusual without spending a fortune so I don't feel bad if it only gets worn once or twice--a good way to experiment! Not quite a vintage boutique, not quite a thrift store: Chic clothes on these racks are the coolest castoffs around. more

New Store Set-up...Not So Good 8/10/2005

Have been a long time fan of thrifting and used to count this location of Buffalo Exchange as one of the top used t-shirt outposts in San Francisco. Upon a recent trip, I was distressed to find during a store re-orginization, the t-shirt stock had been atleast cut in half. This combined with buyers who are not only rude but also not very fashion savvy and you've got a recipe for disaster. I want the old Buffalo back... more
