Bruno's is hard to find. But once you find it, you'll never forget it. Definitely not for large parties (use their catering service for that), Bruno's is excellent for you and a guest or two. My father and I take each other here every year for our birthdays, and for every other occasion we can concoct.
The parking lot across the street is staffed by Bruno's security guards (the restaurant is not in the best of neighborhoods), so don't worry. And if the carwash is open, you can get an excellent full carwash while you eat!
This place is small - the beautiful old wood bar seats a handful, and there is a dining room that can maybe seat 40, crammed in. We alwasy sit at the bar, and start our meal by choosing a bottle from the fabulous wine list, and an antipasto platter. This is a must. A great selection of cheeses, olives and cured meats. Bread with an amazing garlic butter come next. Then dinner - which is amazing, every time. Ask about the daily special, and consider ordering it. Everything on the menu is good, but the special is where Bruno really busts out the culinary skills.
Have a cappucino after dinner and maybe a dessert, if you can handle it. Bruno's mom makes the desserts, and they are worth either saving room for, or ordering to go. You'll have left overs to take with you too, as the portion sizes of the entrees is rather large, depending on the dish.
When your check arrives you will be more than pleasantly surprised - all that feasting and that's it? Tip your server well and waddle out the door.
