Every time I have gone to this vet I have been ignored by the staff from 5 to 15 minutes before they acknowledge me. That alone was enough for me to not want to return. This didn't seem to bother my mother so she kept making appoinments here. I went with her when she took our cat and we waited 2 hours in the exam room with no explaination. They gave us high fiber expensive cat food for a cat with cronic diarea and ran hundreds of dollars woth of tests. In the end they never could figure out what was wrong with him and we donated the cat food to a shaelter as it only made things worse. Our dog had a rash and the shampoo and antibiotics they gave us never worked. Last straw, they gave us antibiotics for another dog and when the dog was still sick they told us to come back and get more antibiotics. I rush over after work, my mother has called to say I'm on my way and run into a mriade of obsticles. When I arrive I am ignored for five minutes, the lady says "be with you in a minute" under her breath and dissappears for ten minutes. when she comes back askes me wit an attitude "what can I help you with?". Now she tells me turns out the vet decided he wants to see her befreo to make sure it's working. I need to make another appointment. They don't want to give her something that's not working. So incase its not working, let's give her nothing until we can come in again and make sure there is no possibility of anything working. This is thier backward logic. Okay no I'm not stupid they just want more money. To top it off they couldn't call my mother back and tell her so that I wouldn't have to go all the way out there for nothing. Thanks a lot, not even an appology. So long story short I am never going to these greedy, lazy incompetent people again. more

I've been to many vets in this area, and had bad experiences. These guys are so much better! At Marina Bay, they said my dog doesn't have a heart murmur, at all. Banfield said Grade 2-3 and Brown said 2-3, probably 3. When Rudy had a temperature, Banfield made me pay $170 for bloodwork that was "inconclusive". The urinalysis confirmed a urinary tract infection. So why not just do the urinalysis first? Which they also charge $75 for, and most other vets charge $35. Finally, I took Rudy to Brown for a teeth cleaning. Dr. Mabe came in on her day off because she knew I was concerned about the anesthesia and his heart murmur. She came out periodically to give me updates. And when it was over, she let me hold him while the anesthesia wore off. They don't usually do this because some dogs wake up violently, but Rudy was pretty good. Pros: kowledgeable and caring staff, and reasonably priced Cons: located in a strip mall more

Me and Peanut been rocking out with Doctor Brown for over 5 years. Today is my new Hobo the wonder dog's visit yes today the same day I write a review for Brown Animal Clinic. I love the office and travel from Dickinson to see them,. We used to live right across the road. Do not settle for any other choices when having to decide on new vet. Brown Animal Clinic is it when it comes to your "baby's" health. The staff is awesome and i believe it starts from the top down. Wooof! Pros: Awesome knowlege of dogs. I have been taking my pets to this clinic for 10 years. I have never had a problem with the staff being rude. They are always willing to help when you have a question. As far as cost.... you get what you pay for. I just had my cat declawed and it was done with a laser. There are not many clinics in the area that have this technology. BTW, the declaw was not too costly. As far as being too thorough.... I would never have found out my cat was hyperthyroid if they didn't do a senior profile. I have taken my dogs to Dr. Brown for 15 years. His staff is compassionate and Dr. Brown is thorough. He is a terrific surgeon and is supportive of tough decisions you have to make for your pet. I regard him highly as a professional. As to the prior comment made about expense, yes, but its an incremental decision for the pet owner. I would rather make informed choices based on Dr. Brown's years of experience and that is what I am willing to pay for. Dr. Mike Brown and his staff are the best---most professional and compassionate team around! Yes they are slightly pricey but worth the exceptional service provided. We have trusted our dogs to his care for over 15 years and he is phenomenal! Dr. Mike Brown always cares, listens and treats our dogs with professionalism and compassion.
