I came into this store after a disappointing trip to a couple of other bridal stores in the area. Bridal by Danielle is by far the best equipped store in Philadelphia. They have a large collection of fabulous designers and the prices were competitive. Ana, my consultant, was very helpful and allowed me plenty of time to browse on my own. Her advice was crucial in choosing my gown. Who cares if you can't take pictures of dresses? I was happy with the price of the gown I was looking at. I love my dress and I am bringing my mom to see it next week. I am so excited! I already know how much the alterations will cost. I can't wait to see the gift they give out to each bride. I heard it is really amazing. For those girls who got engaged and are looking for the perfect dress, iI tell you it's worth going there. I definitely will recommend the store to all my friends. more

I been shopping around for the perfect gown! went to 3 stores before going to Bridals by Danielle and I have to say they had the most beautiful and unique selection of dresses. My sales consultant was very nice, very sweet and honest about how the dresses looked on me, she got the sense of my style and of what I was looking for. Found the dress of my dreams that made me and my mom cry!!! Loved everything about my dress and the store! I will recommend it to all my friends. more

I ordered my Lazaro gown and on my sales slip it said size 12 and the gown they ordered for me was a size 8! The owner Daniela was the one who helped me that day.\r The gown didn't even zip up! I was told that I must have gained weight and that the designer must have changed his size chart. I did not get my money back and was stuck with an expensive gown that didn't fit! I ended up having to go to L&H Bridal to get a gown off the rack! This was a complete disaster and will make sure my friends don't go here for their dresses! more

My first two visits to Bridals by Danielle were excellent! I loved my consultant. After I purchased my dress and my bridesmaids dresses, service went down hill and fast. My consultant left and I was never given a courtesy call to inform me of this. They told me and my bridemaids different stories about when we needed to order (one bridesmaid was trying to get pregnant wanted to wait as long as possible to order. I was told we needed to order on a specific day to get the dresses in and when she called in with measurements she was told she could wait two more weeks!) Once ordered, I never knew the status of the dresses and was just told they would be in any day now...it took three more weeks than anticipated. Being that my bridesmaids do not live locally and needed to be shipped, this was a concern. Finally they arrive and three of them were too short! My MOH has to wear flats and is very upset because she got measured by a consultant at Bridals. When I went in for my first fitting, the dress fit perfectly; no alternations needed other than the bustle. The owner was very rude and couldn't believe it. Before I left, I scheduled my appointment to pick it up. One week prior they called and asked me to move my appointment to during the week. I refused because I work and didn't want to have to drive into the city with traffic. They finally let me keep my appointment. When I arrived, all the rooms were full. Turs out that they overbooked and wanted to bump someone who had already ordered and paid for their dress. In addition, the owner was there and she didn't acknowledge my presence or once thank me for the sale. For how much money we spent, I thought a simple hello and thank you was appropriate. I recommend you go somewhere else. more

Terrible customer service! Extremely rude and completely unprofessional. I am a bridesmaid in my brother's wedding in less than a month and I still don't have my dress yet. It was supposed to have been shipped this past Tuesday, I called today to follow-up and the store manager had NO CLUE what was going on. I waited 4 hours for her to return my phone call before I called again only to be told the dress was never shipped. The store manager is rude and incompetent. I will never ever refer this store for future services. Skip the Philadelphia location and shop somewhere else! more

DO NOT NOT NOT NOT SHOP HERE! They will charge over $1600 more than what you can find at another store, just shop around. If you put a down payment down to ""hold a price open"" you will not get it back. If you want to shop at a place where gypsies steal dresses (as seen on the local philly news) shop here! more

I wanted to thank you for your help and the amazing service that I received when looking for my Jim Hjelm wedding gown. You were great and the dresses were gorgeous! Your store is by far the most accommodating, sweet, and down to earth of the high-end shops we visited in the tri state area. I purchased the dress during the trunk show and the discount I received actually paid for the alterations. Not only did I love my wedding dress, but every time I came into your store I felt taken care of. My consultant, Catherine, was always so nice and helpful. I received so many compliments on my wedding dress. It was a perfect wedding! more

I fell in love with a Lazaro gown and the sales associate was very nice. Two months before my wedding my gown came in and it was THE WRONG GOWN! The owner said it was too late to order the right one and said I looked even better in this one, but it was not the one I paid for or wanted. She didn't offer any solution and didn't bother calling the designer for the right gown! She wanted to charge me $400 for alterations too! I went elsewhere for alterations for $75. I was stuck wearing a dress I paid a fortune for and that I didn't even want! I should've just gone to David's Bridal. more

I am writing this as the mother of the bride. My daughter first made her appointment because they were having a Jim Helm trunk show and she loved his designs. We really hadn't planned on buying a dress because it was our first time out. My daughter initially had invited her entire wedding party to attend but when the consultant called to confirm and asked who all was coming she told my daughter too many people can cause a bride to be overwhelmed by all the opinions. This was excellent advice so my daughter and I went together.\r \r We arrived early and our consultant was with someone else. She was friendly and courteous and asked us if we would mind going through the racks and pulling out dresses she was interested in trying on while she finished with her appointment. Once she was ready for us we had some gowns which she looked over and then asked if she could add a few mermaid gowns. My daughter laughed and said no - that is the only gown I'm not interested in because I think it wouldn't be flattering to me. The consultant insisted that her body was made for a mermaid and to just trust her. In the end it was the mermaid gown that just looked like it was meant for her. I could tell by my daughter's face that was the dress. Our consultant told us to go and have lunch and think about the decision since this was our first outing. We followed her advice and went back and ordered the dress. I couldn't even believe the low pressure. In addition she called the designer to see if we could get the trunk show price for the dress because they had had a trunk show the week before. I considered this well beyond my scope of expectation. When reading the negative reviews I thought to myself - maybe they were at another Bridal by Danielle. I must admit though, I never met Danielle. \r \r We even went back the next month to their veil and accessory show and they let my daughter try on her dress again even though they were very busy. We also purchased the veil and jewelry that day.\r \r The dress came in as expected and we made our appointment with the seamstress Brenda. I thought the consultant was special - Brenda is incredible. She even showed my daughter how to enhance her cleavage since she is small chested and was wearing a sweetheart neckline. She is clever, creative and very professional. The bustle on this dress was different than any I had ever seen. She kept the bustle consistent with the line of the dress which clearly was a lot more work than the traditional ""french puff"" that is usually done. i also thought the alteration fees were more than reasonable. I sew myself and I was so impressed with Brenda. She also helped me get a bustier for my dress because I was having trouble finding one that didn't flip up when sitting.\r \r I will recommend Bridal by Danielle and Brenda to anyone who will listen. This was such a great experience for me and my daughter and so different than the experience I had with my younger daughter at Anne Bailey's in Doylestown. more

What a wonderful experience! I wanted to write sooner but got caught up in last minute wedding plans. My daughter and I had travelled to Philly from the Lehigh Valley and were so pleased to have found this ""little shop of expertise!"" We had originally met and conferred with Jen who was so friendly and seemed to know exactly what my daughter was looking for. She was so informative and eager to please. All of the employees were quite friendly and made us feel very comfortable while there and it didn't take long to find her perfect dress! Lauren was married this past weekend and looked absolutely perfect. And thanks to Brenda , one fabulous seemstress--- she swooshed in her dress all night long! Thanks to all, it was a perfect wedding! more

I got married this past May 15, 2010 and have been meaning to write my rave review for some time! I really enjoyed my experience at Bridals by Danielle. This is likely the most expensive piece of clothing you'll ever buy, so why shouldn't it be a fun experience? \r \r My sales associate, Kye, was so much fun to work with. She has a very funny sense of humor, but is also quite knowlegeable about the dresses. She understands fit very well. She is very patient (I came in on three separate occasions). She also will not hesitate to give her honest opinion in a respectful way (for example, I was wondering about choosing the sky blue shantung liner for my Romona Keveza Alencon lace dress and she made me understand what a poor choice that would be). Carlene is also a delightful person to work with.\r \r They were able to offer me a competitive price in order to assure my business. \r \r The seamstress, Brenda, was very pleasant to work with. You can tell that she really enjoys what she does and that is refreshing to be around. \r \r The iceing on the cake: when I came into the store for my fitting with a sash I was going to add to the dress, you could tell the one I bought was ALL WRONG. Yikes! Never fear, they GAVE ME a beautiful sash. Phew! One less thing to worry about. Couldn't have asked for a better experience! My daughter Gina got married this past May. We were so fortunate to have such a wonderful celebration!! Gina looked absolutely beautiful in her wedding gown and I thought I would take a minute to write and let everyone know that Bridals by Danielle has a welcoming, helpful and friendly staff who are there to make your wedding gown search everything that it should be and more. When we walked in everyone was so polite and eager to help. I have to especially commend Carlene who guided us through our search and helped us say yes to the dress! We couldn't have done it without her....from the gorgeous gown to all of Gina's accessories. Even when it came time for alterations, Carlene was there to insist on every inch to be taken in to make the dress fit exactly how it was meant to be. I don't think we would have felt assured without her being there offering her expertise. Not only is she knowledgeable and fashionable, but Carlene has a personality that makes you feel like you are somehow related. With all the excitement of pulling up to the church for the ceremony ........who did we see.....but Carlene! I bet no one from Kleinfelds would do that for their clients! In essence, anyone looking for that perfect bridal gown and the perfect experience, please make an appointment at Bridals by Danielle and ask for Carlene! The store let me come in on a Sunday when it is reserved for bridal appointments only and kindly let me try on a bridesmaids dress in a dressing room (they only have two but they are large and because of this you really are given more personal attention ) They had the exact Jim Hjelm dress aside waiting for me when I came in at the last minute (a phone call 45 minutes before because the salon we were supposed to go to closed for spring hours unbeknownst to us). Carlene knew that we (my sister and I ) were only there to try on the dress and not to buy yet she still came in to help us fit into it and give suggestions about dye lot and colors etc. She was refreshing to see in this industry because most bridal boutiques that carry this kind of of high end brands are as snobby as the fabric on the hangers... not here. Would totally recommend to anyone for bridal and bridesmaid services. Carlene knew the fit, the line and was even apologetic if she had to get a call or welcome a customer - all because she wanted to help! Pros: great product knowledge and overall a pleasure more

Omg I went to BBD on the serch for my ultimate wedding gown and naturally located seconds from my job I went to Bridals by Danielle from the time I walked in the store I fell in love with the satff . These young ladies were very personable and friendly and even got to know the groom to be , my grandmother ect..... sadly the wedding was called off (he's an IDIOT) the girls where so comforting and understanding and came up with the best idea in the world. They told kmy why let the dress of my dreams go to waste? why not just change the color and just wear it as a party dress and thats what i did I was to me wed on my B-day now I am going to have a 24th to really remember. My only prob was Danielle herself to me she seemed a little cold and rigid its when she was around it felt erie and cold \r but not enough to get beside myself . I called and made an appointment at Danielle’s, having seen on their website that they carried the line of bridesmaids gowns I was looking for. We arrived 15 minutes early for our appointment and were buzzed in to the store. We proceeded to stand there at the front desk and be COMPLETELY ignored for 20 minutes. Even AFTER a second customer entered the store and was asked if THEY needed help!\r \r The attendant at the front desk was tied up in a futile attempt to correct the incorrect size information she had input for another group of bridesmaids. A second attendant wandered in and out of the room to help, and also ignored us.\r \r We finally started sifting through the one, small, haphazardly organized rack of bridesmaids dresses on our own. The seamstress was kind enough to poke her head out of the sewing room and offer her help. We tried on at least 10 dresses, the seamstress checked in on us, but ultimately, we walked out of the store without a single attendant even acknowledging our existence.\r \r I would have expected much, much better service based on the price tag of the merchandise they carry. Frankly, I’m surprised they didn’t make us enter and exit through the back entrance. I just picked up my Marissa gown from Bridals by Danielle and can't even begin to explain how incredibly THRILLED I am. When my mom and I first walked in to the shop back in May of 2009, we were so impressed with the service, atmosphere and dress selection. I had been to a few shops before and I really didn't like the selection, almost like finding my dress was going to be like finding a needle in a hay stack. At Daneille's, sytlist Kye Waheed was able to figure out my style and personality within minutes and helped me find THE PERFECT DRESS!!! She was so fun and really put me at ease during a time that can be really quite stressful. Throughout the course of the summer and into this fall, every time I either called or emailed Kye, she was such a pleasure to work with!! THEN, everything got EVEN better when she introduced me to Brenda O'Livis, the most amazing seamstress. Brenda made sure my dress was exactly right and took it in just a little so that I didn't have to worry about ""popping"" while I get down on the dance floor during the reception. She added organza (the material that my gown is made of) to a bolero jacket I bought from Etsy to make it REALLY work with my dress. All I have to do now is slip it on and walk down the aisle!!!! I'm so happy, thank you Danielle's!!!!! more

My daughter bought her Reem Acra gown at another Bridal salon that went out of business. Her alterations were done by Brenda O'Livis at Danielles. Brenda was wonderful. Brenda made sure she looked like a princess in her gown. Brenda offers a service to take care of the wedding party for the day. With Brenda there our day turned out to be perfect. She arrived at 11:00 am and stayed with us until the bride was bustled and went into the reception. She was there to dress and cater to the bride and take care of all of the attendants. She took care of making sure her gown was perfect all day. She steamed every bridesmaid dress. No one left the house with a wrinkle. At church she made sure my daughter was perfect before going down the isle. One of the ushers had a hem come out and she was there to fix it. This also made my day enjoyable and relaxed. I was able to take care of myself and be ready for that perfect day. I would highly recommend Brenda for your wedding. This was the best money that we spent. Brenda is a great seamstress and all of our fittings went smoothly. Thank you to Danielles for letting us have her alternations done at this Salon. Pros: Service more
