Bridal Gallery At Mac Gregor

I called the gallery to see if they had dresses in stock and the owner said no, but they have that are very similar. When I got there I asked where I could find the dresses and her reply was, ""they are all mixed in."" So then I asked where certain designers were and again they were all mixed in. I searched the store without any help and when I finally found a dress I liked she wouldn't tell me the designer. I asked her to get a dress for me and she just walked away! I wonder how a place that treats customers that bad, is still in business! I wish I had read these reviews before we even went there. When we first got there, looking for the dress, we were greeted by a nice girl at the reception desk. Too bad we only saw her for about 30 seconds. Then the owner came. The rudest woman I've seen in my life. She's definitely angry at something and in need of some therapy. I am so relieved to see I am not the only one who thinks the owner was absolutely rude towards her customers. I am in the customer service industry and let me just say that she acted very unprofessional and defnitely does not accomodate her clients. The first time I entered the boutique I was helped by a young lady who worked at the Hillsbourough St store. She was very helpful and offered terrific service. When I returned to show my mother the dress, I dealt with the owner who from the moment I entered the boutique treated me very disrespectly and didn't seem at all interested in helping me get the dress I needed in the short amount of time I needed it in. In the end, the owner basically told me in a snotty tone to get my dress elsewhere. HOW CAN YOU TELL A BRIDE THAT!?!?! We were nothing but nice and treated nothing like a bride should be. I was so upset that I couldn't even look at the woman after I took the dress off. Needless to say it worked out for the best. I got the dress at another boutique $200 cheaper and they actually called the vendor to see if the same dress was already made in my size for a wedding at a later date so I wouldn't have to pay rush shipping charges. I just want to thank Bridal Gallery for the great service I received. From beginning to end I worried about every detail of my wedding except one. I found my dress ,my bridesmaids, my moms dress and every step of the way was made easy by the staff here. The alterations were perfect. I felt as if my gown was custom made for me it fit so well. I can't thank the Bridal Gallery enough for all the helpful suggestions. I was not sure what I was looking for in a gown. I didn't need an appointment like most salons. Everyone was helpful. I tried on gowns and they gave me great comments about how the dresses looked without making me feel like they were just trying to sale me a dress. This may be the worst store I have ever been in. The sales women are rude. I was looking for a specific flower girl dress and when I explained that the bride used Victorian Rose, o' the looks. They were the rudest people I ever met. You would think hat with such a horrid reputation in the bridal world they would want as much business as they can get. What is wrong with these people. The owner needs to get a clue. I would rather pay twice the price than deal with the attitude. NOTE TO ALL BRIDES: Go to a bridal store that will treat you like a princess, not this place. I had set a fall wedding date but the army had other plans. My date needed to be changed to this Feb. Many places said they didn't think I had enough time. Bridal Gallery told me to come in. I have seen the out come of many alterations. In order to have a custom fit that looks beautiful you must come with all the proper under garments. Borrowing ones that are not the ones you will be wearing at your wedding can make for a loose fit. Wearing the ones you will be wearing on the day of your wedding will insure your photos of your wedding are showing you to be the princess you are. Having seen both I highly recommend Bridal Gallery because they do everything to make sure you look like a princess on your special day!!!!! Pros: lovely gowns on site alterations more

For my first wedding dress shopping trip I chose the Bridal Gallery in MacGregor. I was very disappointed in the service. They were extremely understaffed and no one was available to help you. The lady at the front desk said high and searched for the dresses that I was told online that they had. They had neither the bridesmaid dresses or wedding gowns as were stated online. I tried on one or two dresses and had no help from anyone. My mother and I packed our stuff up and left. On the way out I stopped to grab a card from the front desk to take notes and the staff that was there said nothing no even a ""goodbye"" or ""how can we help you"". Very poor service. I was very disappointed. I was considering getting my dress there just due to the proximity of my house and the wedding location but I have decided to go elsewhere and take my $$$ with me. Not only would I not recommend this ""boutique,"" I will make sure not to send any of my family or friends there. And, this is saddening to me because not only did I used to work there, but I bought the wedding dress of my dreams back in 2005. This was before there was a change in management. Patty, who used to own this store, was amazing. For whatever reason, she is not the owner anymore and she has sold it to who was our seamstress. Unfortunately, the new owner has the personality of a wall and had an attitude with us from the moment we walked in. My friend had bought here dress elsewhere but planned on getting her shoes, slip, and undergarments there. The owner was annoyed b/c we did not come in already with them. Sadly, instead of offering to help her find any in her store, she got an attitude and asked us to leave. When you are a bride, you need an atmosphere where you feel wanted there and treated like royalty. I brought my best friend there two weekends ago and had the most ridiculous experience of my life. The staff, while sweet, knew next to nothing about ordering times and stood giggling in the background. Not ONE person came up and helped us WHEN WE HAD AN APPOINTMENT TO GET ALTERATIONS. Going to The Bidal Gallery made choosing my gown a cinch. The huge selection was a little overwhelming at first but with expert help I found my dress. The alterations were amazing. The dress felt like it was custom made for me. I also found great bridesmaid dresses. My mom was amazed that she found her dress in one visit. Pros: great selection more

Bridal Gallery may be the single best place to go for a wide selection of wedding gowns. I will admit to being a little obsessed with finding the **perfect** gown and I was willing to travel wherever to get it. I've probably been everwhere in North Carolina, including Bridal mart but I really thought that Bridal Gallery had just as many dresses and styles, and is a lot closer and offers more services. They had a lot of the designers that I liked online and have a way to actually tell me wether the dress I saw is in the store or not. Best of all, they carry Paloma Blanca, which I did not find at many places. They also have really big dressing rooms that you can actually move in. I really loved this place and am going back this weekend to get my gown! Best of luck to all future brides and go pay bridal gallery a visit! Please, PLEASE read and consider this review before doing business w/the Bridal Gallery. The bridal gallery has a nice selection of gowns, a bit overpriced & a lovely store layout. After I purchased a gown, the customer service seemed to decline markedly. When I went back into the store for fittings and alterations, I often would have to wait around for someone to assist me. When someone did come to assist me, she was usually also helping other customers as well and was often unavailable if I needed assistance. Another reason that I would NEVER recommend doing business with this shop is b/c one employee tells you one thing and another employee tells you something different. This happened regarding the date that the dresses were to arrive at the store as well as in regards to when the dresses would ship out to bridesmaids. The owner of the store seemed obstinate and down right rude. The store assured me that my bridesmaid dresses would be shipped and almost 2 weeks later, the dresses were still sitting at the store!!!!! The explanation from the owner was that I was misinformed by one of her employees & she made no definitive motions to correct the wrong. To top it all off, she continually interrupted me when I was trying to speak to her over the telephone and then hung up on me because I was not satisfied by her lack of response to her company's error. To say the least, the owner of the bridal gallery is not well versed regarding how to meet the needs of her customers. Truly, I have never, ever encountered more rude, disrespectful treatment from a business owner. Planning a wedding is stressful enough. You don't need vendors treating you w/disrespect to top it all off. I recently ordered a bridesmaids dress from this boutique for my cousin's wedding. I am located in Charlotte, and called in my measurements in by the appropriate time. Never once did the lady I speak to on the phone address the size of the dress that was being ordered for me, even when asked. I stated my size of dress that I normally wear and that was that. So several months later when the dress comes in, I have a size 10 when I am a size 4. Never did I or would I authorize anyone to order me a dress that is extremely too large for me. I called the store immediately and left a message with the owner's daughter who told me that there was nothing they could do, but would have the owner, her mother, call me the following week. Well of course she never called, so I played phone tag with her until I finally did speak to her and let her know the situation. She was VERY RUDE and adament about not helping me and not taking responsibility for her stores mistake. Would not even discount my alterations for the dress, even though 12 dresses were purchased from her store in this bridal party alone. Not only was my order incorrect, but another bridesmaids dress was ordered and delivered 10, yes 10, sizes too small. After fighting tooth and nail to have this mistake corrected which was entirely the stores fault, although blamed it on the buyer, did they order a new one but did not promise it would be here on time. They did not however offer me this ""luxury"". This was an AWFUL experience. I would rather make my own dress than deal with these unprofessional, unethical and downright scam artists again. Manu, the owner/seamstress owns the one in Caryand one in Raleigh by the same name. She is a nasty woman who didn't want to do what i told her from the beginning. When i questioned her on her poor work she immediatley got defensive and started yelling at me. She threatened to call the police after she told me she wasn't going to do anything for me or give me a refund. I eventually got a partial refund which wasn't nearly enough. I paid $200 for a beautiful dress that she massacred. But I was told it was my fault because ""she didn't think i was wearing the skirt correctly"" but never checked to see if i was or not like she should have as a seamstress who ""alters 300-400 dresses a year"". I assure you all that i do know how to wear a skirt, she just doesn't do good work. It is about an inch and a half too short on the right side of the back of the skirt, and is not even sewn in a straight line. The girl working there even said when i showed it to her that it looked horrible. And when the owner/seamstress was yelling at me the other girl who works there looked at me and said she was sorry i was being treated that way. So if the workers are telling me that, then there's something wrong there! When she was walking back into the store with me and my 11 month old son behind her, she tried to slam the door and knocked into him with it! She's completely off the wall! I just want my money back and i don't think i'm going to get it. It's a shame too, because i was going to bring her more business, but now, certainly not. I have friends who have worked and have shopped here. The owners treat their employees just like their customers. HORRENDOUS! The owner is rude, unethical, lacks customer service and basically should not be in business.
