My worst nightmare 1/31/2010

I am always a size 2 and when I tried on the dress over there, she said that a size 2 is the same as a size 8 for wedding dresses, which I found out later on that is the truth. However, after I order a size 8 dress that cost over 5000$, six month later I had my first fitting and the dress was more like a size 10 or 12 regular size not wedding dress size. If I didn't hold on to the dress, the dress would fall on the ground. Pros: lots of selection Cons: not professional more

Nice place 3/21/2008

I personally found this to be a good place to shop for a gown. Yes, it's a bit run down, but the dress selection is really good. It is true, customer service is average and the idea of chosing your dress from a binder is not all that romantic. Yet the dress selection is quite decent. And after all, isn't it all about the dress at the end! more

The Absolute Worst 11/29/2007

I went to a dozen bridal salons in the City and Bridal Galleria was by far the WORST. For my initial appointment, they lost my name and so I had to come back another day since they didn't have a consultant available to work with me. When I finally did get into to try on dresses, I would say the service was fairly average. They did have one dress that I wanted to try on a second time. However, when I went back, they had no record of my previous fitting so they didn't know what dress I wanted to try on, even though I had specifically told them I would be back to try on this one dress. I had to look at 20 or so dresses before they finally managed to figure out which dress I wanted to try on. It was such terrible service that even if I had found the dress of my dreams - which I didn't - I would have tried to find another store that sold the dress. There is no way you can trust a store that loses your name AND your file with such an important purchase. Bride beware. Maybe they'll lose your dress. Pros: Moderately priced dresses. Cons: The worst service imaginable. more

i had a really bad experience here. i was excited to go there for a wedding dress and i made my appt. when i called they asked me 20 questions, one being my dress budget and one being my wedding budget. i told them thinking it was a typical question for all bridal shops. i showed up and the girl put me into a very hot fitting room. it was so hot, i was sweating ( and i normally dont) and then said to wait in the fitting room while she brings me dresses in my price range. the first 3 dresses were not what i was looking for at all and i told her that and she said, " but they are in your price range" at that point i told her to forget about my budget and bring me dresses that i am looking for, because if i happen to fall in love with a dress i will buy it. ( as most girls do), she continued to bring me dresses that i didnt like and told her i didnt want that style. she didnt make any recommendations on her own and even at one point made a rude remark about the style i was looking for. all in all it was a very bad experience. looking for a dress should be fun and exciting. i felt unwelcome in her store, i felt uncomfortable asking for the styles i wanted again and again and again. even if i found a dress i liked there, i would not give them the pleasure of having my money. i would try to find that style in a different store Pros: designer dresses Cons: service! more

Salvation for reluctant bride! Best experience ever. 8/17/2006

I am not a girly-girl at all. I am a personal trainer and even my dress up clothes are purchased at the Nike store but alas, we were having a formal wedding and something about getting married brought out the romantic in me so I set out to find myself a real bridal gown. After a series of disappointing trips to some other stores in SF and on the Peninsula I found myself at Bridal Galleria and finally my luck changed. The woman I worked with was awesome. She made great suggestions but really tried to help me find something that would still feel like me which was quite a challenge. I asked a zillion questions and she was so patient. We must have tried on 20 dresses before I decided on "the one". My dress arrived two weeks early and alterations were a breeze (I loved the alterations manager, Lina!). On my wedding day, I got so many compliments and didn't want to take my dress off! I guess I've been converted to a girly-girl after all! Pros: Great customer service, excellent selection more

So glad I got my dress at Bridal Galleria 8/8/2006

I'm really picky about who I choose to do business with. And planning my wedding was no picnic. Thankfully, my experience at Bridal Galleria was exceptional. They had an amazing selection of dresses and great service to top it off. They were super organized with every detail. I got swatches of the Lazaro dress I ordered right away, and even though I was a paranoid freak, they always answered my questions courteously and never made me feel like Bridezilla. (My best friend got her dress at another bridal salon in the city, and wow, what a nightmare she went through! No wonder I was nervous about it all.) Pros: knowledgeable staff, great selection, nice tux dept more

I had the perfect shopping experience! 7/23/2006

I stopped by the Bridal Galleria in June with my mom, grandma and sister while on a visit to San Francisco. We did not have an appointment and had no idea that the were having a Lazaro Trunk Show. Right away the girl at the front desk made us feel very welcome and introduced us to Lazaro who was sitting at the front desk sketching a picture for another bride. They were able to squeeze us in after only waiting about 10 minutes. The dressing room was huge. Plenty of room for my whole group. I fell in love with the first dress I tried on, a beautiful Lazaro strapless with just the right amount of lace. My consultant still brought me a dozen more dresses to try, just to be sure. She was great, really made the process fun and explained so much about each dress. I ended up buying my dress that day and Lazaro sketched a beautiful picture of my dress. All in all, it was the kind of experience that I always imagined for picking out my bridal gown. I would definitely take my friends. Pros: Great customer service, nice location, selection more

I got my dress and didn't have to go to L.A.! 7/15/2006

I wanted a Monique Lhuillier dress and was sure I would have to go to LA to try it on but fortunatly Bridal Galleria had a trunk show with all of the ML line! I got my dress and had the greatest time seeing all the dresses, trying on several. My consultant was great and spent a lot of time helping me out. Pros: Great selection, good location, nice staff more

Best selection & service anywhere! 7/12/2006

Many friends from work had gotten their dresses from Bridal Galleria, so I went to check it out. I've gone to all the top bridal stores in the Bay Area, and this store was definitely the best. I wasn't sure what style was best for me so I really appreciate the one-on-one attention I got in a private room. My consultant picked out the perfect dress for me, one that I would never have thought of trying on. I felt like I had my own personal stylist to outfit me for my wedding! From beginning to end, I was really impressed with the store. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone! Pros: Lots of trunk shows. I got to meet the designer of my dress! more

wedding Gown 3/9/2006

I bought my wedding gown at this store and I have to say for the amount of money I spent, I got the worse customer service I have ever experienced at any retail store. The management style has to go. more

Decent inventory, but lacks customer service. 11/6/2005

There are many other bridal stores in the Bay Area that provide you with great customer service. Its not worth a trip to the Bridal Galleria; the salespeople for both the bridal gowns and tuxedos are rude, arrogant and snotty. more
