I have been in several weddings and I myself am married and never have I experienced such awful service from a bridal store. Employees at Bridal stores should be very excited and upbeat and elated to be helping people with the happiest, most important day of their lives, but the women in this store are just drab and rude!!! I don't think I have ever encountered such rude women! The seamstress is just awful and clearly incompetent. My dress was ordered way too big even after I argued that I did not need such a huge size, but apparently the woman who ordered it for me decided she knew me better than I knew myself... so be it I figured they had a great seamstress.... wrong again. The top of my dress was way to big and she told me there was nothing she could do about it except create a seam down the middle.. I am not a seamstress, but I always thought that was what the seams on the busts were for, anyway she told me to wear the straps further down on the shoulders and that would fix the problem. I would never recommend this place to anyone! And as for the store owners comments, if you know a dress won't be ready in 8 weeks, don't tell someone it will. There are plenty of other places to order dresses that can get them in on time. JUST A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE ALL TOGETHER! I have been in the bridal business for more than 16 years and let me be the first to say I loved my shop and most of my customers. I find it comical that many of the people dissing or giving bad reviews to this establishment are making their memorable experience monstrous. For instance the woman griping because her dress was huge... Maybe it was huge because no dress is custom made, that is why seamstresses are in business. You have to order to accommodate the largest area of your body.. if not, you'd be griping about the same thing. Ordering gowns 8 or even 10 weeks in advance of your wedding is cutting it short. You are lucky to get your gowns in on time and that isn't the shops fault, that is the bridal parties fault for not heeding warnings in every book or article about ordering bridal items. Some of my companies took well over 2 months and it wasn't because my companies sucked, it was because it takes time. Additionally, complaining that you signed something without understanding what you signed is nothing less than absurd. Why did you sign without knowing why? Bridal stores need signed contracts so they can proceed and so that you realize you are accountable and responsible for what you sign. If you don't understand you need to find out. Most all bridal stores seem to get a bad rap eventually... from lots of experience and in my opinion it's fickle personalities that create most of the problems, not the shop. When I had a customer DEMANDING refunds, apologies and lawsuits. Ridiculous. Before placing blame on a shop, take a look at both sides, if you think you truly have a bone to pick do it as an adult and realize you are responsible for everything that happens. I have never seen or heard of a shop being in business to make your big day hell. So brides and bridal parties, buck up and make it a good experience for yourself... it can be done, I promise. more

Never go here!! I recently ordered a bridesmaid dress from here. I was measured and they ordered me a size that was much bigger than I usually wear. I thought they knew what they were talking about since they were supposed to know the dresses. I got the dress, and it was huge! I called the owner to see if she could do anything about it, and she refused to do anything. She was rude to me on the phone and told me they don't do anything once they have ordered it and that I signed something saying I would pay to have it altered if it didn't fit. I told her that they picked the size for me! I even questioned the sales woman because it sounded so wrong, and she said it was the right size. I obviously didn't know they had no idea what they were doing! Never go here unless you want to be ripped off! Cons: Awful service, very rude and will not fix their own mistakes more

I did not think a city the size of raleigh would have one boutique with such a large selection. I recently moved to NC and was nervous about planning a wedding in a new city. The staff at bridal boutique was very welcoming. I went in several times and all the ladies were very helpful in picking out gowns for me and helping me try them on. They were also very patient and did not push me, even though i could not make a decision between two dresses for almost a month! They really do have a huge selection and are a great place for gowns as well as bridesmaids dresses. I highly recommend them! Try them out! The simple thought of buying a wedding gown stresses me out. I was not looking forward to the experience. But I went to this boutique and was so suprised at how much fun it could be! I tried on a ton of dressess and the employees were very helpful and friendly. They didn't rush me at all! They showed me styles that I would look good in, and I ended up finding my dream dress AND my bridesmaid dresses!!! It is a one stop shop! VERY RUDE, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I ordered my bridesmaid dress about 8 weeks before the wedding and with 2 and a half weeks left before the wedding I was beginning to get nervous because the dress hadn?t arrived. I decided to call and see if they knew when the dress might be in and it turns out they had the dress and just never called to inform me. When I got angry and begin to question why I wasn?t called and how long the dress had been in I was given the run around by an extremely rude woman and was told that they probably had my number written down wrong. Lie number 1! They had called me about 2 weeks prior to ask when the wedding was so they obviously had my number correct. Then when I went to pick up the dress the woman who helped me couldn?t have acted like I was more of a bother huffing and puffing around! So I tried the dress on, which was about 3 sizes too big even though I ordered the size the boutique told me I would need, and this is where I was appalled. There was a young woman in the store trying on her strapless wedding dress that had just come back from being altered by the boutique and she mentioned that the top looked a little uneven. When the woman who had helped me responded to this she stated that no, it was even and it was just the way she was standing that made it appear uneven. Lie number two. From what I saw with my own two eyes was that the dress was extremely uneven up top from alterations and this isn?t the first time I?ve heard of them screwing up someone?s wedding dress! but I just have to, because my visit to the Bridal Boutique of Raleigh was quite possibly one of the worst experiences of my life! The woman who was working while I was there, did not help me...at all. She didn't speak to me, didn't help me with dresses, and sighed when I asked to try on two gowns! She made me feel horrible! I could go on and on, but the bottom line is they need to be friendly and treat customers with respect! I'm at ""that age"" where all my friends are getting married, and I am quickly spreading the word to everyone I know - AVOID this place! Cons: horrible service!!!! more

I was really hoping to leave a good review about the dress fitting and alterations process, because the shopping experience was so great.\r \r But I can't. I was so disappointed with the quality of the alterations. My dress was lumpy in places, the hem didn't sit right and the waistband was attached so poorly I had to take it to another seamstress the day before the wedding. The concerns I brought up during the final fitting were brushed off as not a big deal and I didn't want to be a bridezilla and figured I was maybe overreacting. But I wasn't. In all the photos, my dress just looks kind of ill-fitting.\r \r But the worst part of all is that, the day after the wedding, I went to hang up my dress and noticed the seam of the lining was a little loose around the zipper. I tugged on it a bit and the entire lining just pulled off. It had been basted but never been actually sewn permanently to the dress.\r \r I'm glad I didn't discover this until the day after the wedding, because it was really upsetting. I can't even bear to look at my dress.\r \r I will say again that the dress shopping experience was wonderful. Honestly I was scared to go in here based on all the negative reviews but after looking at several other boutiques and not finding what I wanted for bridesmaids dresses my maid of honour and I stopped by this store. We showed up at 4:30 without an appointment we were greeted and helped right away. I told them we were only looking for bridesmaids dresses and that I beleived I had found my gown at another store and they still helped me try on wedding gowns. I picked 2 and the sales person picked out 4 more for me to try on while I was in the dressing room. My maid of honour picked out about 6 or 7 styles and the sales person carried them to the dressing room for her. The lady then brought her at least 2 more dresses while she was trying them on. They had a very large selection of bridesmaid dresses at lower prices than any other boutique we had been too. I have not ordered my dresses yet but based on the service, selection and prices, I will be ordering them shortly. Based on previous reviews of this store I will be asking for a copy of the order form once the order is placed in case they try anything dishonest, which I don't think they will. The staff was very friendly helpful and never once complained or acted like they didn't want us there. I even offered to put the dresses in the dressing room back and the lady was like""don't worry about it"". I think as far as service goes all of the negative reviews about this place are not accurate. The wrong bridesmaide dresses were ordered, and nothing was done to correct the mistake, which the manager/owner essentially blamed on us - never once offering that it was the girl who took our order. FOUR of us knew exactly which dress/style we had picked out and what we told the girl who placed our order - floor length dresses, two with extra length (tall girls). What we ended up with was two tea length dresses and two floor length dresses. The box on the order form was not checked for length. I asked her how they knew what length to order and why wasn't one of us called to clarify? She talked in circles the entire time. The options the lady gave us was to have extra material ordered or to have the floor length dresses hemmed - $30. She would not order new dresses. So having paid extra for the extra length on two of the ""floor length"" dresses, now she wants to charge us to have them taken up so that they match the tea length. Not once did she offer to take care of the alterations for no charge - and when we asked, she said she could take $5 off. Unbelievable. I will never recommend this place to anyone ever again. I actually bought my wedding dress and bridesmaide dresses from there AND sent two good friends to do the same for their wedding. Tried getting 3 dresses in a certain color. It took 2 weeks of being told 'yes we can' 'no we can't' 'can get 1 but not the other 2' 'yes, can get all 3 in the color'. I placed the order and was called 2 weeks later and told they can't get my dresses in the right color. I ordered 3 new dresses, my wedding is May 20, I put a rush on them and was assured my dresses would be in the last week of April. I start calling April 26 looking for my dresses and was told they had shipped 4/21 and would be in 4/28. May 6 no dresses and now I'm told that the manufactor is 'running behind' in shipping them out and someone would call me Monday with an answer as to where my dresses are. My mom and sister came with me and when we walked in, we were greeted with cold stares. I wanted to browse bridesmaid dresses and look once more at the dress I had decided on. I ended up trying on a more dresses (FOUR total) and they lady scoffed ""You sure are trying on a lot!"" I mean, what did she care - we carried them to the dressing room...I tried them on without help...my mom hung them up herself...all while the employees ignored us! After the repeated rude comments and the fact that they didn't help us, we were out of there! Luckily, we are in Raleigh and there are MANY other places to go that will treat a bride right! I called to make sure I didn't need an appointment - I didn't - so when I showed up, I was astonished at how I was treated! No one greeted me, helped me, carried dresses for me, the list goes on (I was the only customer in the store)! After hearing comments made by the associates to one another about me (apparently I was taking too long - I was only there for 1/2 hour and the store didn't close for another hour), I left everything in the dressing room and left. There was a ""help wanted"" sign in the window and boy, do they need help - especially on how to treat customers! Also, they claim to have great savings on bridesmaid dresses, but so do other boutiques! Bridal Boutique of Raleigh was by far the best salon I have been to. Their selection is amazing, their service is amazing and thier prices are too! I probably went back 10 times before deciding on the gown (I just couldn't make up my mind) but they were just as helpful at the 10th time as they were the first. Saturdays are a little busy, but they are nice, helpful and honest. The owner is amazing and had some of the most insightful information on how to pick out the gown best for my body type. After letting me try on the gowns I had picked out, they even pulled out gowns that they thought would look good. It was, by far, an excellent experience. GO THERE!!! HORRIBLE! There was one other customer in the store and 3 employees present. NO ONE acknowledged us, no one helped us with dresses and all three employees were RUDE (no one even smiled at us!). I asked to see color swatches for my bridesmaid dresses and the owner (yes I said owner!) slammed the book on the counter and walked away from me - without saying one single word. The entire time we were there we felt we were in their way and a nuisance. One employee even commented in a snotty tone ""Wow, you are trying on a lot of dresses,"" (and I only had 4!) Words cannot describe how appalled I was! I've never been treated that way anywhere before! There are several nice dress shops in the area and I suggest spending your money elsewhere, where you can find friendly, helpful associates and a clean store. as I was at the Bridal Boutique of Raleigh. I went there to look at wedding dresses for my sister and bridesmaid dresses for me and the other bridesmaids. The service was rude, unfriendly, and the OWNER of the boutique was the worst of them all. She acted as if we were bothering her when we asked to see a book; she literally threw it on the counter at my sister and walked away. It is ridiculous to go to a place of business, possibly to spend thousands on a wedding dress, bridemaids dresses, and accessories, and be treated like you are nothing. I usually never do anything like this, but I would feel HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE if other brides, bridesmaids, mothers of the bride, etc. were treated the way we were! Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere, where you can have a pleasant experience trying on the most special dress of your life! The associates were unbelievably rude - did not greet us, did not help with dresses and they acted like they were annoyed we were even there! Surprisingly, the owner was the rudest of them all! After going several places to find the dress I had seen online, I was told that the Raleigh Bridal Boutique had it in stock. After getting there, the lady who helped me was rude from the beginning. She even commented that I should do my homework before gown shopping b/c I described the dress wrong (I had the style number!). I tried it on and my bridesmaid took pictures. But were rushed out b/c the store was closing. I took our last pictures and got out of the gown but on our way out, the same lady was giving a stack of gowns to another and we overheard her saying ""Thank you so much for letting me take as much time as I need..."" I absolutely loved my experience at Raleigh Bridal. They have a huge selection and very attentive, yet not pushy staff. I worked with Mary and she was such a huge help. Help wanted sign. Walked in for scheduled appt. and stood there for several minutes, no one ever asked if I needed help. Got my name wrong total of 3 times in 2 visits, even after correcting it twice. Alterations lady kept diappearing. Got rescheduling appt. completely wrong-by a week! Got dress back in HORRIBLE shape!! Threads form other dresses all over it. DIRT on inside of wedding dress. Stitching extremly poor and unprofessional. Missed 3 places where they forgot to restitch. VERY SLOPPY. BALLED my wedding drees up and put off to side, after first fitting because they left off cloth hanging hook-- it wasn't even able to hang on hanger. Is it just me or shouldn't a certain level of service be expected with the most expensive piece of clothing you'll ever buy? I'm in process of contacting owner to complain.
