Best

I'm from Michigan, where glorified landfills serve as our ""mountains."" I LOVED Breckenridge! Admittedly, I'm a beginner, so I didn't get to some of the more challenging slopes, ...

Worst

Breckenridge was pretty lame, yYou spend all of your time travelling between peaks. When the wind closes down the advanced lifts it is one big lame beginner hill. Anything under b...

Crowds 11/12/2002

Board the Ridge 11/12/2002

Breckenridge is by far the best resort in Colorado. Personally, I prefer snowboarding and Breck offers the coolest terrian park around. However, for the ametuer, the terrian park will be a bit intimidating. Beware of the long lines on holidays and weekends, they bite! Pros: terrian park, beautiful town, effective shuttle bus Cons: crowded, expensive food more

Breckenridge Makes Great Memories ! 11/12/2002

Breckenridge is my favorite resort because of the great conditions and beautiful vistas. My favorite holiday memory is sitting in a warming hut at the top of the mountain on Christmas Eve. We had skiied hard all day. As we sat inside the hut; the fire was burning, we were sipping hot chocolate, and huge snow flakes were falling outside the window, with the Rockies in the background. PRETTIEST THING I EVER SAW ! Pros: variety of slopes, scenery, nice town Cons: lift lines, crowds on weekends, expensive food more

The Best Place For A Weekend Getaway!! 11/12/2002

I think that this ski resort is one of the best places to get some major skiing time in, and is perfect for a family getaway. I thouroughly enjoyed this resort while I was there last year. I would most definitely highly recommend this ski resort to anyone. So if you're looking or a lot of major air time and a good place to get some weekend skiing in then this is the place for you. Pros: Inexpensive, Great Lodging Cons: Not Enough Parking, Little Crowding more

You just have to look for the steeps 11/5/2002

I am only 17 but I have been skiing at Breck for 15 years now so I know it pretty well. All these people saying that this is a beginner mountain and that there are no good technical runs. Well you don't know what you're talking about. On peak 10 there is the south side which has some of the best terrain if you go in the morning before it gets all icy. Then on peak 9 there is E-chair. You can find the doors and the windows here. Finally on peak 7 and 8 are some of the best bowl skiing you will ever experience and if you are actually a good skier not someone pretending to be then you should hike over to the Lake Chutes. They are the steepest chutes in Colorado that are inbounds. more
