Honestly, there is nothing special about this place. It's only Italian because of the menu offerings. But, as Italian food goes, this stuff lacks any zest or appeal. For the mo...

My favorite place to eat 12/27/2011

I love Bravo (Hayden Road)...the service, the food, the atmosphere. We go for every special occasion and always take out-of-town guests here too. I am surprized at the negative comments; we have been going for more than 7 years and have never been disappointed. more

Good Food. Service..eeeh! 11/14/2011

I enjoyed my first visit here. The steak and shrimp were to die for! The veggies and salad were just okay. Wine list was nicely priced. My waitress dissappeared so I spoke to a bus boy who didn't understand english. A bit frustrating. But all-in-all... I'll be back. more

Great Service, Average Food at Best 10/12/2011

Me and my family decided to celebrate a birthday at Bravo. We loved the decor, service was wonderful, but the food was overprice and average at best. The server was great, and the manager was very friendly. I would pay those prices if the product was better, but our experience was average at best. Will try them again due to the great servcie, and just maybe we picked the wrong dishes or they had a off night. more

Great food, horrible host 1/8/2011

The staff that seats people are horrible. Even with a reservation you can wait 40 minutes and then they seat walkins before you. If you complain you get no apology and no offer to compensate you for your wait. The food is excellent but not worth the hassle. more

Yummy Italian... Great Atmosphere 12/29/2009

When I lived in Columbus, my family and I spent every birthday dinner at the Bravo on Hayden Run Rd. The staff is incredibly accomodating and always thoughtful.\r Great location, sophisticated scene and fabulous Italian cuisine.\r Now when I travel back to C-Bus for business I always take my clients to a Bravo or Brio restaurant location. Pros: Pasta Bravo more

Bad experiences were taken care of by good manager 2/7/2007

The restaurant was so uncomfortably cold that we ate dinner in our coats. Since our table was near the door we kept getting blasts of cold air even though we had asked our waitress if there was a warmer table we could have. We would have left at that point except that we were there to celebrate my father-in-law's birthday. If a restaurant is going to be that cold they should offer complimentary hot beverages or close until they can reheat the space. You should also be very careful of the white paper they cover the tables with. I got no less than six paper cuts before we figured out that we needed to go around the outside of the table folding down the edges. Anyway, is a white paper-covered table restaurant the same as a ""white-tablecloth"" restaurant? During a past visit I have also had a problem with their salmon dish. It was so salty that I sent it back to the kitchen twice and just picked at it when it came back for a third time since I didn?t want to embarrass my husband any further. On the other hand, the bread they serve you in spiced oil is excellent, the food is generally tasty, if a little over priced, and they brought my father-in-law a nice big ice cream sundae with candle on top for his birthday. After this last experience, the manager kindly called me at home, apologized, and promised to send us a gift certificate. I really appreciate it when a restaurant cares enough to follow up on the less than perfect visit. Pros: good bread and oil, food is tasty, good management Cons: a litle expensive, bad experiences, busy, menu is small more

Overrated 5/29/2006

Having read the other reviews, I am actually a little surprised about how much most people rave about Bravo. This restaurant is just OK. It has some nice dishes, but there are also some that are way too salty (most of the seafood) and a few that are just plain bland. I have had both good and bad service here. The best thing about this restaurant is the bread they give you to munch on before the meal. I have no problem paying good money for good food, but this place is pricey for its quality. By the way...it is ALWAYS crowded and loud. There are MANY better Italian restaurants in the Columbus area. (usually small, and not a chain) Find them! Pros: Bread, flavor consistency, large parties welcome Cons: Price, lacks zest, always crowded more

lI ove the food.....but same crowd over and over. But if you are a single looking for new friends.....once is probably enough. You've met them all last time! more

Terrible service 1/7/2006

Had to get up and chase down the waiter every time we wanted something: salad, wine, desert, whatever. Nobody ever came by to ask how things were. The plates of food were literally thrown down on the table. The food was dry and cold; it looked like leftovers from the night before and had been sitting out, unrefrigerated, overnight. This was my worst experience in over 60 years of eating out. Pros: Decor Cons: Service, Food more

Great Food! 2/5/2004

After dining here quite possibly over one hundred times over the last 10 years, I'm finally going to post my opinion on how great the food is here. Since I've never been to Italy I can't comment on whether or not the food is authentic, but I do know great food when I have it. Every item that I've tried on the menu is truly very good. Costs a little more than your avg. family restaurant, but well worth the money. I highly redommend trying this place out. You may have to wait awhile for a table, but trust me - it's worth the wait every time. Pros: Great Food, Great atmosphere more

Really good food! 6/18/2003

The food is the big draw here. Everything is good. I especially like their salads, topped with grilled salmon or chicken, which are big enough to share. The creme brulee is exceptionally good. And it has the hallmarks of a good restaurant: excellent bread and coffee. It's a pretty restaurant, and the service is wonderful. Pros: great food, nice ambiance, good service more

Delightful 3/17/2003

Bravo is always a treat to go to. Food is always good, but often times crowded. Hard to find a parking place unless you are resourceful. Pros: food is good, atmosphere is excel, patio in warm weather Cons: parking is too small, wait is very long more

Incerdible even with the wait! 1/7/2003

Bravo is a great place to eat! Unfortunately, with or without reservations there is usally a lengthy wait at the overcrowded bar BUT the atmosphere is trendy, the service is wonderful, the food is GREAT and once you are at a table the crowded bar scene ""disappears""! It is well worth the wait!!!!! Pros: Great menu, Great Service, Reasonable Prices Cons: Crowded Bar Area, wait time more

I sure do miss it now that my husband's company has transfered us to Tuscon, AZ. where you can't find a GOOD restuarant to save your life! Hope This Helps! Enjoy those GREAT restuarants (like Bravo's) Columbus, cuz you don't know what you've got till your gone! Pros: Great Food!, Great Desserts!, Great for Kids! Cons: Weekends get Busy! more

This is another one that I eat at whenever I stay overnight in the city. Pros: Good location, Good parking Cons: A little pricey more

Exceptional! 8/19/2002

By far the best restaurant of its kind i've been to. me and my wife went there for our 1-year anniversary, and got seated outside with a wonderful view. service was outstanding, and we loved the food. definitely smoked salmon with crisp potatoes - excellent dish. i have eaten at Brio's and Bon Vie, but Bravo is definitely the best out there. more

Anniversary 8/14/2002

I went here on my one year anniversary with my boyfriend and was blown away . . . more than once. Very romantic. more

great for parties 8/5/2002

This last March my whole family and I had a surprise party for my oldest sister, the food was GREAT the atmosphere perfect and the employees great. They helped keep the secret. My sister had a great time. See everyone of my family which was over 15 people came from out of town. My sister lives in Dublin, and this is her favorite restaurant. more

Top Notch Italian 7/16/2002

Great atmosphere, friendly servers. Well worth the wait if you come during peak times. Our family's favorite meal is the Chicken Milanaise Pomodoro with a Caesar salad and cheesecake for dessert. We get it EVERY time we go. Lasagna is also good, but is better at lunch than dinner. I could live on their foccacia bread alone! Pros: Fresh ingredients, great foccacia bread Cons: Portions now smaller more
