Brasher's TV Service

I had an older Panasonic rear projection TV, the really heavy bulky ones. There was one green spot in the top left corner everything else worked perfect. Well I called these people to get it fixed. They seemed legitimate on the phone, but not when they got here. The guy walked into my house with mud on his shoes and didn't care. He tracked in right through my office kitchen right to my living room. My wife was so upset she was scared to say anything. He RIPPED the back off the TV and then it wouldn't turn on. From here they needed to take it in, but not before YELLING at my 8 year old son to get him a glass of ice water. I wish I was home for this because he upset my family to the extent that I no longer allow service men in my house without me there. Seriously who do they think they are. Anyway they took the TV in, my wife didn't object. It weighed about 150lbs and was 5x4x4 feet in size. The guy wrecked my carpet dragging out the door. We were planning on replacing our carpeting, but that's besides the point. I called in a week later and they said they were still waiting on the parts. Two weeks later and they were still waiting. After a month they said they had to special order the part and it would take about a month to get. I told them to just give me the TV back, which was reasonable I thought. Then they gave me the run around until I threatened to call a lawyer and then the told me they ""LOST MY TV"" no joke. They LOST a 150lb TV. Also they never actually ordered any parts for it because they couldn't give me any work orders or service orders for the actual repair. They offered me $50 for the value of the TV. That was not acceptable. I told them to replace it. They gave me a similar TV for my troubles. It died 6 months later. It took me 2 months and over $300 for some older TV than I had originally owned, in addition my family was made uncomfortable in our home. I hope they go out of business or get put in jail for scamming customers and damaging private property at their leisure. more

My wife called this service to repair our television, a 70 lb 50"" LCD rear projection TV on a beautiful corner cabinet that I finished and stained by hand . Mike Brasher showed up, dropped his tool kit on our coffee table like some kind of oaf and began his ""work"". His first order order of business was to call the office and ask ""are these Sony Grand Wegas always a pain in the ass to get the lamp covers off!"". He was yanking the TV around despite my wife's offer to assist him in moving the TV so he could get to the back of it, and when we was ""done"" the cabinet was scratched beyond repair with huge nicks in the routed front edge. When my wife asked him politely to look into their insurance for this type of issue, he scoffed and told her that those scratches were already there. And the best part, although my wife told him what we suspected as the problem, HE NEVER BROUGHT A NEW LAMP WITH HIM and said he'd have to schedule another service call with another service charge...this was only his ""diagnostic"" visit! WE TOLD HIM WE NEEDED A NEW LAMP!!! Smartly, she put the charge on a credit card in case we needed an avenue of recourse, and he pitched a fit because he had to go out to his truck for the credit card machine. When pressed again about the damage, he laughed in my wife's face and said ""it your word against mine lady, good luck!"" and left. Learn from the multitude of complaints here and find a REAL TV service worthy of your business. more

Brashers tv came to my home within 24 hours and picked up my tv for repair. They left me a courtesy tv to watch so I would not be inconvienenced . The repair man had my television back in my home within 3 days working like new !!! Pros: great fast /reasonable service more

As everyone here already stated, they quickly came to pick up the TV. I think if I didn?t follow up with them, they were not going to follow up with me. They put their TV service sticker on MY TV and the kicker is, it had someone else?s name on it. So they didn't even know the TV was mine. Thank god I had the model and s/n documented. I'm really not convinced that they ever opened the TV to do a diagnosis on it. Pros: I'm not sure there are any Cons: Too many to list more

It's amazing reading the other reviews, they described exactly what happened to me. Mike came to our house, took a very important piece out of our TV and after 3 weeks of not hearing from him, I called him agian and again and again - he would not return my phone calls. Needless to say, my TV is still not fixed. more

Long story short, its the same as the other reviews. I've been waiting for my tv to be fixed for almost 2 months now. First ""Mike"" came and took the guts of my tv, than sent a man to put it all back together. He couldn't do it so he than took it. Then Mike returns and it still doesn't get fixed. After returning a third time the same man who came the second time gets a fuzzy picture to show up but cannot finish because he doesn't know the ""codes""... So he walks right out of the house without saying anything. I had to stop him and ask about my tv and because he crashed his car earlier he would not be returning due to that risk. Than a very young but polite man comes out and takes the guts again... Still no return call or visit. DO NOT CALL THESE PEOPLE!!! Pros: They did come right out, 2/3 of the men were polite Cons: STILL NO TV! NO CALL! NO VISIT BACK! more

as you read any of the reviews of my repair there are two sides to every story.anybody needing to get in touch with me just dial 61.0.513.8198 cell #,or any of our advertised #s.Back in the 70's, and 80's manufactures were all building the same types of t.v's.Most companies were u.s. owned so by law parts were made to be available for at least 5 years.Now we are in a new decade where t.v.'s are in a transition they are coming out with newer types of t.v.'s and the older style t.v.'s aren't product supported as much,plus companies lik rca,zenith just to name a few aren't even owned by the same people anymore so somtimes getting parts becomes a problem.Yes we are still fixing plenty of old style tv's and new styles also.at no time would I want to keep anybodies tv that i picked up for repair.if you have any questions please call me.thany you mike brasher more

My television broke. They came over soon after I called. They Took parts out of my television. never fixed television. after weeks of calling, never got a response. television still doesn't work and now they won't call me back. I paid them with nothing in return. more

Funny reading the other reveiw, same thing happened to me !! They fixed the TV but the price kept going up after they started even though they knew exactly what was wrong from the beginning and quoted the price but after they took my parts with them it was too late to do anything about it. And talk about attitude, they won't even listen to you when you talk and try to tell them something or return phone calls after they get their money. Oh, sure they will come right out in the beginning but then you are at their mercy. Plenty of other shops out there, look around first....... I forgot to mention the fact that after they were done and paid in full they would not give a clear breakdown on parts and labor or a receipt for the work that they say they did !!!! So, Good Luck if they promissed you a warranty !! Pros: They can fix your TV Cons: poor attitude towards customer more

They were very quick to come out but with full intention of dismantling the set and taking it back to the shop. In fact, twice! They kept replacing parts until they get it close, not right! Now the on switch doesn't light or work but did before they pseudo fixed it. The magic figure is around $340 to fix a big screen no matter what is wrong. Your not going to replace it at that price but repair it! I suggest you find another repair shop like Tweeter who may be a wait but at least competent. Pros: Fast service Cons: Don't know what they're doing more
