Three years ago, my parents were so excited to have enough money saved after 30 years of scrimping and saving for a brand new, custom-built home. After looking at literally dozens of model homes with several different home builders in town, my mom had her heart set on a particular configuration of a Braselton home. Braselton homes look really nice from the outside, but inside, their lack of attention to detail and primary goal of saving money leaves the customer with the short end of the stick. The one-year so called "home warranty" comes with a multitude of caveats. When you do finally get someone to respond to a call about a repair, they make you wait so long, you might as well fix it yourself! I would say save yourself the headache and turn to a private homebuilder, rather than one of the bigger companies.
