DO NOT USE BRAKETEAM! \r \r They charged me for unneeded repairs and they sabotaged my rotors and power steering line... My brakes failed 2 weeks later and I nearly was in an accident. I spent another $700 getting the work fixed that they had "done" already.\r We have tried for almost a month to get a refund, or some credit. Justin McCann is the owner and has never returned a call or inquiry, despite his staff repeatedly sending him our calls and emails. This company has 36 negative complaints on the BBB. and scam story was done on them by KGW the local NBC station....They are a bunch of scam artists and saboteurs....\r \r DO NOT USE BRAKE TEAM!!!! more

Brake Team, what a joke. We took our Nissan Sentra here and were quoted almost 800 dollars to fix the brakes and was told that would be a 'bandaid fix' for the issues it had. I almost choked when I was told this, we left and looked up the parts for ourselves and was able to get every single part we needed to fix everything they told us was wrong for under 250 bucks. We fixed the front brakes ourselves, when we bled the brakes there was what looked like motor oil in the brake fluid which, although I cannot prove it, I would not doubt that brake teams 'mechanics' might have put in there to nickle and dime us. We ended up taking the parts for the rear brakes into Midas on 82nd ave and they repaired them for us for an hour worth of labor and that includes a full brake flush and fluid fill. AVOID THESE SCAM ARTISTS AT ALL COSTS! They are horrible, Take your car to Midas on 82nd Ave instead (surprisingly near another brake team on 82nd ave as well) you might end up paying a little more (although by brake teams standards it will be the same cost, maybe cheaper) but the work will be done by ASE certified mechanics, the parts will be higher quality and Joe and Mark who are the managers at this Midas will not screw you around and make you buy parts you don't need. more

This store was at one time a very good place to get work done but that was due to a great GM jake who has left. The place now is dirty quotes are not acurate, they want to charge for parts that are not needed. My car was damaged with the hoist because the clearance was not checked before lifting it and the lock nut for the wheels was broken because they put it on to tight after inspecting the breaks. I will never go this location again unless they get a new GM to run it. more

I would recommend digging a little deeper into their reviews. This ballot box seems to be stuffed by ""fans"" of brake team. They have smooth friendly employees to pull off the bait and switch brake job. You will end up paying way more money than discussed, wait way longer than expected and not even end up with what you need. Better to go somewhere that gives you an honest estimate from the beginning. Even if it's higher you'll pay a lot less in the long run and not have to keep going in. more

Brake Team has always done an outstanding job on my car with great pricing for their services!! They fixed my car when it was broken down and it costed 1/3 of what I thought it was going cost! They have very reasonable costs for synthetic oil changes and very friendly staff to work with!I would definitely recommend Brake Team to anybody I know! more

Great service. Helpful staff that was patient with my financial needs and concerns. They worked faster than expected. Jeffery was the main contact that I dealt with and he was very courteous in dealing with me. Good customer service. They replaced my front calipers and rotors and brakes and then replaced my back brakes. Very quick service. Good job. more

Excellent service. A big man used to take great care of my vehicle but he is no longer at this location. However, Jason the gentleman I met earlier today was very quick to respond and I felt like I was treated as family there. In all this has continued to be an enjoyable experience. more

I went into the Brake Team Milwaukee office to inquire about oil changes and cost. They answered all the questions I had, gave me an estimated time to come in, and we're overall customer oriented. Currently, I am unemployed and your service team was willing to offer me a free oil change. This will greatly help my finances and I have not found this type of customer service of loyalty to helping those in need anywhere else. I will definitely return to this company to this company to have any other service applied to my vehicle when I am employed again. Thank you for keeping my car running during a time I really need it to function. more

We went to the 82nd store Ave location a few months ago. We got four new tires. Because we got such good and friendly service we decided to get the drive axles done there also. John Tolleson the store manager was very professional and nice. We plan on using Brake Team for future car problems and service. Thanks. Mary Key more

This place was great. Service was great, nice people, will come back. Seem honest about service and love this free oil change for feedback. It took a little long for service, but they were busy, was not a problem for us on current day. Everything seemed simple, complete and to the point not a lot of extra stuff to add on and even though they had suggested they were great when I turned them down. Great explanation of problems. more

Had an appointment today with Brake Team on 82nd to do front and rear brakes. When we got there John the store Manager was behind the counter as usual and began to help us check in. As John was checking us in he was talking with 3 other employees and 2 customers, this was highly unprofessional. Since John was sidetracked he didn't hear one word we said about what we wanted done on the car. He then asked for the keys and we asked him if he knew what he was doing and he said yeah a brake inspection....we said NO....we want the brakes done because we know they are bad. John got cocky and said that he didn't need to fix our car and handed the keys bad in a rude manner. John was not listening to anything we said and was very rude. I do not suggest anyone go there for any work on their car because it won't get done the right way. If you want a good Brake Team please go to the Highland location in Gresham, OR. The store manager Jake is awesome. more

Oil change went well. Was finished quickly. Appreciated the brake inspection. They identified need for new tires, which is good to know. Other shops go into more detail about inspections of other systems, but I don't really expect too much for $15. Price is the reason I came in, and will keep coming back. Everyone was friendly. Waiting room was nice. more

Great job all around! They were able to get me in right away, I wasnt able to bring my car in the day of service, so they told me no problem, just bring it down the night before. When I arrived, I was greeted with a friendly staff, and at that point they talked to me about the problem I was having with my car. They took all my information and told me that my car would be safely stored that night. The next morning, John called me to update me on my car and let me know that it would be done that afternoon. When I arrived to pick my car up, I was again greeted with a very friendly staff, and we talked about the issue with my car and I went on my way. Great customer service, great job! Thanks again! REVIEW: The crew at Brake Team was wonderful!!! I was short on time because I had to pick up my children from school, and had just gone in for an inspection and an estimate. The inspection was quick but thorough, they walked me through everything that was in need of repair, and also let me know which parts were in good working order. Not only did they give me a very reasonable price, they completed the job much faster than I had hoped for. I actually had enough time to stop for an espresso before I had to get my children. I will definitely go back for service again! more

My vehicle was serviced by Josh. I felt he and the others he worked with did a great job. I believe the manager was the one who brought me to my car and explained a few things to me about the work done on my brakes. more

dropped my car off at noon on a monday. Didn't get my car back until Saturday. First they ordered 2 incorrect master cylinders for my car, and i was told ""we tried to make it work."" what????? Then they replaced the calipers, and the brake hose, and it still didn't fix the problem. Then they ordered a proportioning valve and while they were waiting for that, installed a power booster without telling me. Still didnt' fix the problem. Turned out it was a leak in an uptake valve or something. So i get my car back today (SATURDAY!) AND MY BRAKES ARE DRAGGING and it SMELLS SO BAD in my car - meaning they either installed bad parts, or never adjusted the new parts correctly. The ONLY upside to this was they only charged me for the master cylinder and paid for my rental car. Communication within the company and with the consumer is extremely poor. I would not trust this company with my life again, and i don't think you should either!!!!!!!!!!! EDIT: 2/28 - I'm editing my review because Brake team tried to make things right by refunding me my entire bill, and also paying for the bill from another autoshop which i had to have my car towed to. I appreciate their efforts in trying to give some positive experience in the midst of all the negative. There are nice people that work there, and i really hope they all learn from this experience so that it doesn't happen to another potential customer. Initially, i wanted to give Brake Team no stars, but that wasn't an option. I'm giving 2 stars for customer service...since it really only happened after the incident(s) and it's something that i expected through out the entire process. Cons: everything - i would give it negative 5 stars if i could. more

I was very impressed with Brake Teams corporate management. They completely resolved my initial complaint. They went beyond my expectations and seemed to be genuinely interested in providing good service. I think this particular Brake Team store will see some nice changes. Straight forward honest brake shop with fair ethics. Estimate was calculated wrong in my favor and they still honored the original agreement. Security issues include space aliens hijacking my 40 dollar valve stem caps and cleverly replacing them with their les schwab plunder from a future exploit.
