I was having some engine issues with my Ford. I saw the good reviews for this shop and decided to give them a try. They diagnosed the issue as a problem with the EGR system. They replaced the EGR valve and cleaned the EGR ports thoroughly. My truck runs great now. Thank you very much. more

They diagnoses the issue and called Drive Time to get the repairs approved. They finished the repairs in a reasonable amount of time. I couldn't have asked for anything more from them. I always say you can tell a good mechanics shop from a bad one by how clean the facility is kept. The guys over here at the Brake Specialists in Round Rock keep a clean shop, waiting room and customer bathroom. The mechanics also use seat covers, floor mats and steering wheels covers. My vehicle always gets back to me in good shape. These are the guys to trust with your vehicle. more

I had another shop do my tune up recently and my check engine light was still on after the tune up. They said they would have to diagnose the issue further and needed an additional diagnosis fee. I balked at that and then took the vehicle to the Brake Specialists in Round Rock. They pulled one of my plugs and noticed it was an Autolite plug in my Honda Civic. They stated that the vehicle came from the factory with a particular type of NGK plug that they could get for me. They also said my wires were very cheap and they were a Duralast wire set. They installed NGK plugs and wires on my vehicle and now it runs great and no more check engine light. I appreciated the guys being honest and helping me out. I think I just found my new mechanic! more

I had been having an issue where my vehicle just wanted to pull me off the road to the right. I was referred over to the Brake Specialists in Round Rock by the Discount Tire down the road. They got me on the alignment machine and noticed that my front end was out of whack. They installed a few tie rods, some camber kits and finished aligning the vehicle. My vehicle now drives as straight as it did when I bought it. Thanks for the great service! more

I recently was baited in to using a shop with the initials JB for their $99 brake job. This is a marketing gimmick like no other and I paid the price for it. My brakes made no noise going into the their shop and when it came out it made a ton of noise. I then decided that I would take my vehicle over to the Brake Specialists that is across IH-35 from the Outback Steakhouse in Round Rock. The manager at the counter understoof my predicament and got my vehicle right in to check it out. He noticed that the brakes had only had really cheap pads installed and the rotors weren't even machined. He then gave me a quote for about $400.00 to machine all 4 rotors and replace the front and rear pads with some high end Napa pads. I told him to get it done. There were two techs working on my vehicle and they finished it in a little over an hour. I was really impressed. I actually saw them remove my rotors and mount them to the lathes for machining. The other place didn't do that even though they advertise it. They even took me for a test drive with the tech after the brakes were done. My brakes sound great and they stop great. I will never try to look for a shortcut again. You definitely get what you pay for. I will be back for my tune-up as soon as I save some money. Thanks guys. more

I brought my BMW 5-series in for some new rotors and pads, since my brake lining light had come on earlier this week. They got me in fast and inspected my vehicle for the brake components that were needed. They quoted me out 4 rotors, 2 pad sets and 2 pad sensors for almost $350.00 less than BMW which was awesome. I had them do the repairs and they finished them within 3 hours of me bringing the vehicle to them. Usually BMW gives me a loaner vehicle and it takes them a full day to almost 2 days to do the work. Brake Specialists can do the same work in around 3 hours and at a savings of $350.00 over the dealership. I will definitely come back for not only my brakes, but I will give them a chance to do any other repairs before I take my vehicle back to BMW. more

I have had my brakes serviced by different shops in the past and have never been happy with the repairs. I came in to the Brake Specialists here in Round Rock with my vehicle grinding on the left front. They got me in quick and checked the vehicle over with their multi-point inspection. They discovered that my left front hub assembly had a very bad bearing in it. They ordered a new hub assembly and got the install done in about an hour. They also told me that the hub assembly will have a 12 month/12,000 mile nationwide warranty through Napa Auto Care which was a longer warranty than I am used to getting at other shops. Jon, the manager, was also a pleasure to deal with. Thanks guys for the quick service. more

Jon Zinn is the manager at the Brake Specialists in Round Rock and he is quite a character in a good way. He was really friendly when I came in to get service on my Nissan Altima. He seems to call everyone "brother" which put a smile on my face everytime he said it. He was very straight forward about the needed repairs on my vehicle and I was more than happy to have the work done at his location. His technicians were very quick and thorough on repairing my vehicle which I definitely appreciated. If you live in the Round Rock area, you need to meet Jon Zinn for yourself and have his shop do some work on your vehicle. You will not regret it. Thanks Jon! more

I arrived at the Round Round location this morning. The people were very nice and even had fresh coffee for me. I had some troubles with my engine and by the time I got done talkinbg to the manager my truck had already been put on the lift and looked at. I had a bad sensoe from the manufactuer and was suprised how much it cost. I went to see if I could find it cheaper but when I added up how much the part store and my time to put it on it was a simple decision to have them fix it and get a warrenty to boot. I also needed pads and shoes for the front and back, thinking that I could sayve some money here also I went down the street to autozone and the parts that they showed me looked twice as thin as the ones that brake specialists would use and I asked them why they the part stor said that they probally used a diffrent manufactuer. I went back and they showed me the pads and roters that they would use on my truck and indeed they were twice as thick it seemed for just a little more cost "I ended up with a part that would last me twice as long". In all it seemed if I bought my own parts I would have paid less but not had the warranty that the texas heat demands on brakes. All in all I was very happy and suprised that they used their courtsey car to take me home so I could look for parts that they would loose money on if I had bought them. more
